Cascade Heights in Longwood, FL
5.0

Cascade Heights is a great place! 25 years from now if it is still good, we may have to go here! The staff is super friendly and awesome Just walking around the place. You can see all of the people that live there seem very happy. The apartments are fabulous, full kitchen. His mom actually has the two bedroom. She turned one of the rooms into a dining room, which looks great a screened in porch patio on a third floor new appliances, stainless steel plenty of closet space everywhere. The place feels more like a resort than assisted-living. The full apartments are fabulous. Plenty of space storage and a full kitchen so many activities happy hours, music live music we can't say good things. And his mom loves the food which was a complaint at her her previous place in Ocala plus she didn't have even a kitchenette let alone full kitchen and she's paying $[removed] less here for more than double the space and so many more amenities

Elan Buena Vista in The Villages, FL

We chose this community because out of the ones that we looked into for my friend, this one was the best. The room sizes are good and spacious. I have eaten here and the food is very good, they have a lot of variety. I would recommend Elan Buena Vista to a friend or family member.

The people are nice. But it's more for dementia and Alzheimer's, and that made it a little hard to socialize. The food was excellent, and about 95% of aides were very good. I would recommend it for a long...

For many seniors, the burden of home ownership might deter them from enjoying an otherwise independent lifestyle. Independent Living Communities provide a solid solution. Basic tasks such as meal planning and housekeeping are handled by staff and a calendar of recreational and leisure activities is maintained, allowing residents an opportunity to use their time as they see fit, free from daily obligations. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to be among peers, surrounded by others of similar age groups and backgrounds. Within the individual units, residents have access to their own private living space and a full kitchen, and can even live with a companion if they choose. While policies differ between communities, a number of residences allow pets as well. If residents decide they would like to employ the services of independent health care providers, they always have the option. There are an assortment of expenses and advantages to keep in mind while selecting an independent living community. It is important to determine if these services are covered in your plan: transportation, Waiting list deposit, wellness program, utilities, internet access, initial assessment fee, cable TV, and meals. The benefits associated with independent living include private rental hall, game/TV room, healthcare center, fitness center & swimming pool, concierge services, beauty salon & barber shop, laundry service, and golf course.
