Cascade Heights in Longwood, FL
5.0

Cascade Heights is a great place! 25 years from now if it is still good, we may have to go here! The staff is super friendly and awesome Just walking around the place. You can see all of the people that live there seem very happy. The apartments are fabulous, full kitchen. His mom actually has the two bedroom. She turned one of the rooms into a dining room, which looks great a screened in porch patio on a third floor new appliances, stainless steel plenty of closet space everywhere. The place feels more like a resort than assisted-living. The full apartments are fabulous. Plenty of space storage and a full kitchen so many activities happy hours, music live music we can't say good things. And his mom loves the food which was a complaint at her her previous place in Ocala plus she didn't have even a kitchenette let alone full kitchen and she's paying $[removed] less here for more than double the space and so many more amenities

Complete guide to independent living

Orange City, Florida

Independent Living

Independent Living Communities provide individuals with a nice balance between an independent lifestyle and not having to concern themselves with housekeeping. Meals, recreational activities and housekeeping chores are handled for you while you are unrestricted to use your time as you wish. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to live among peers, surrounded by others of similar age groups and backgrounds. Typically comprised of a private living area and a full kitchen, these communities offer homes with many of the amenities of apartment life but with none of the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and more time can be spent with them with the basic maintenance of daily tasks out of the way. While policies vary between locations, a number of residences allow cats and dogs as well. If residents decide they would like to employ the services of private health care professionalls, they may always do so. There are a number of expenses and benefits to keep in mind while deciding on an independent living community. It is important to determine if these amenities are included in your plan: private phone, wellness program, cable TV, field trips, utilities, initial assessment fee, housekeeping, and laundry. The amenities associated with independent living include healthcare center, community activities, security guards, private rental hall, concierge services, transportation, game/TV room, and laundry service.
