I have been a resident (independent) for 17 1/12 years. The community is just the right size (# of residents). The staff is welcoming and friendly, although I do not need care services, it's important to know it 's available. A resident can be as involved in the community as they whish to be. I Recommend MW!

Independent Living

Many seniors may be capable of living without assistance, but the cost burden of home ownership and the maintenance of daily tasks and chores might deter them from living an independent life. Independent Living Communities offer a convenient alternative to this situation. Meals, leisure activities and housekeeping duties are taken care of while you are unrestricted to use your time as you choose. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to live among peers, in a community with others of similar age groups and interests. Typically consisting of a private living area and a full kitchen, these communities offer homes with many of the amenities of apartment life but with none of the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and more time can be spent with them with the basic maintenance of daily chores out of the way. While policies vary between locations, numerous residences allow cats and dogs as well. Nursing and health care services may always be arranged for with private care providers if desired. There are an assortment of expenditures and advantages to consider when choosing an independent living community. It is important to determine if these services are covered in the service plan: utilities, Waiting list deposit, meals, wellness program, internet access, move-in fee, transportation, and parking. The luxuries associated with independent living include transportation, security guards, concierge services, community activities, private rental hall, laundry service, restaurant-style dining hall, and beauty salon & barber shop.
