I receive no care. I am independent and live in a villa. Very costly but worth the security of knowing if I need the care it is here. Yes I would recommend this community to other families. I am a true believer of coming in before you need help. It is a great place for independent living with lots of activities and friendly people.

My sister is currently a resident at Westminster Suncoast and everything has been great for her at this facility so far! The facility staff are all very caring. The place is very clean and my sister is enjoying the meals. The move in process was seamless. Sometimes it's hard to reach staff when we call, but I know they are busy. Overall, I think we made a good choice in placing my sister there.

As an Independent Living resident at Westminster Suncoast, it is so filled with activities. I don't eat many meals in the dining area, but when I do they are superb. We have the Chief from Don CeSar. I do my own housekeeping, so I can't evaluate that. However, the main buildings are always clean. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who is interested in an active friendly garden community. It's a bit costly, but in the end it will pay off.

They are wonderful. The location was wonderful for all family members to visit. The place is lively with beautiful gardens. People are very friendly and welcoming. They also have the services for continued care if they need rehab or long term care without having to transfer out.

The tour was great at this community. The community was great but there was just another community that worked out better for my loved one. The tour guide was good and was able to give me all of the information I needed about the community.
Friendliness is one of their most outstanding features. Little bobbles and bumps happen, but all in all, Mom's been very pleased with them. She's getting ready to switch from assisted living to independent living, and she wanted to stay at Westminster Suncoast. One challenge that for some reason they've been unable to accommodate, I suspect because they're busy at that time in the evening - is she needs to have her evening meds around 6-7 pm, and they never give them to her before 9 pm. I've addressed that with them, and they make it happen for a couple of days and then it goes back to the way it was before. I understand they're busy and doing the best they can. Mom loves the food there. It's very good quality, and there's more than enough. I know they have plenty of activities available, but she's just not wanting to participate. It's taken her a while to adjust to community living. Although we wish it could cost less, it's still a good value. I've had the opportunity to see some of the other places around, and I've had outside people tell us this is the place we need to be. They are one of the best if not the best.

I have not had a good experience with them. First of all, I don't think they screened my loved one appropriately. And then they tried to move her out of independent living within 35 days. It seemed like a money grab to me. I think her living space is terrific, but she hates it. She thinks the residents are a bunch of busy bodies, and she doesn't like the food.

The times I have been able to visit, we have no problem with the cleanliness of the community. Our biggest frustration is that their is no proactive communication especially during this time. The nurses are cool they are good about communication regarding anything medical. It is just the administrators we never really hear from and it takes a few follow ups for them to get back to us.

Has diminished in value--over the last 3 yrs. I have lived here 6 yrs. And getting less over the years in quality/ quantity of dining choices and variety of activities since Jan. 2018 and Pre CoVid Time Period. Key staff position turnovers/resignations in all depts multiple times over the last 8 mos. due to corporate demands/stress. Chronic understaffing in maintenance and housekeeping. Waiting weeks, sometimes months to get simple requests done in the senior independent living which houses 62--80+ yrs clients. Staff employees really try and are friendly.

I have lived at Suncoast for almost 15 years. It is the best place I have ever lived in. The residents and staff are friendly and caring people. This is the best time of my life and I could not ask for more!

Looks like the best for food. Also resort quality atmosphere gorgeous grounds. Villa available right across from villa dining - is he fit for a villa? He would have to figure out how to get to main building for activities. (Eyesight assessment?). Or, we could wait for a Suncoast room to become available. CONS: Maybe the complex is too overwhelming. Maybe too high brow for him to be comfortable. Waiting on vacancy. Not sure much pet exposure.

I know we made the right decision to live here. My husband and I have been here for nine months. There are four things I really love about this community. First, residents and staff demonstrate an openness and friendliness that creates a welcoming environment. Secondly, intellectual and physical needs are met through stimulating programs. Thirdly, we love opening the backdoor of our villa and enjoying a cup of tea on our patio. Lastly, it’s affordable. Administration openness and transparency at Westminster Suncoast has impressed us greatly. The integrity and faith-based nature of this community shines through all that it exemplifies.

My 86 year old father just moved to the assisted living facility here about a month ago, but our experience thus far has been truly superior. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The residents appear to be happy and healthy and they are friendly, as well. There is a wide variety of activities going on daily and The Quak Center is a true advantage to the residents. My father has been very complimentary regarding the food that is served in the dining room, much better than ordinary institutional food. I feel that we have made an excellent choice and look forward to many happy years there.

They have so much going on with activities, you go to any one thing and its not very well attented because people are so varied and because people are in various conditions and stuff so you don't have a lot of people there. Bingo is still popular, theres a crowd in there, mostly women and they all have white hair, I have no hair so I'll I see is white. Location is ideal so far as I'm concerned, my firneds live in the vicinity so its great. In fact, I'm going there this winter, I can't take Florida summers. I lived in Orlando for a while, and the heat and the bugs I can't handle, so I go in the winter.

A Place for Mom has scored Westminster Suncoast 9.4 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
