Best care of any facility around. After my loved one suffered 4 strokes in 5 months, which included 4 hospital stays and 2 3-week rehab experiences in Ocala, this facility was, hands down, the best. Everyone - social worker, doctors, nurses, cna's, therapists - was kind and fully focused on providing the best care possible for my loved one. Truly a blessing!... Read more

It was very difficult to get any information or talk to anyone who could give information. It wasn't a matter of permissions. I would hardly ever get to talk to anyone directly (director, nursing staff, occupational therapy, social workers, etc) and left many messages. I might get a call back 4 or 5 days later, but not always. I had to leave a lot of messages and do a lot of calling to get information. If I did get ahold of someone, I heard "I'll get back you today" or "I'll get back to you in a minute" and then I would never hear back. My father's care was questionable at best. For example, because they did not change his bandages daily, he got an infection that required an IV drip. They sent him to the hospital because they had done a chest x-ray and didn't realize that he had only one lung. We moved my father to a new facility and he has flourished. Do not send anyone that you love here.

Came here not expecting the encouragement care that all nursing staff extended. Special attention given to those with the most needs. A blessing we found this facility! Would recommend to anyone looking for a senior care provider.

When looking for a place for my grandmother, I came across the villages. They have so many amenities and the physical therapy team is awesome! My grandmother has only been here for a short time but every time I talk to her she has nothing but good to say!! I’ll be recommending The Villages to everyone I know!

My mother was in this facility for approximately 6 weeks. She absolutely LOVED it. I even flew down from West Virginia to check things out for myself. They were excellent!! Nora and Bunny really worked her. She was worn out every day. I was so happy to see that excellent care was being given to my mother. She loved the food, the nurses, the aids. I cannot say enough good about this place. She is home now and doing so well. Thank you so very much to the staff. You gave me my mom back!!

My Father was in Villages Rehab [date removed] after a horrific motorcycle accident. There never was a leader in his care, clearly he was one of the worst patients taken in. [name removed] was truly exceptional! She went above and beyond in her care, medical know-how & angelic support. We appreciated her! [name removed] was an extremely compassionate, knowledgeable professional, & showed sincere empathy to our family. Unfortunately, others in SocSvc were less than stellar. One case mgr asked me twice how my Dad was doing in hospice care. When I told her he was not in hospice, she said she confused him with the patient in the next room. It is obvious the staff needs training on HIPPA laws. Another case mgr was inconsiderate towards me, unattentive, and disrespected my 80yr old Dad by calling him 'baby' in front of my Mom and me. [name removed], [name removed] & [name removed] were also incredible in their fervent efforts.

My mom has been in other rehabs. This by far is the best. Upon arrival everyone was friendly, answered my questions and took care of my mom. A shout out to the therapy team, CNAs, social workers and nurses. I appreciate all you do!!

My husband spent two weeks at Villages rehab. We found the care givers very friendly, caring, and efficient. The room was kept clean and the food was generally very good. The therapy was excellent and so helpful. We would recommend this as a good choice for anyone needing inpatient rehab.

Do not recommend! My spouse was there from 6/9/2022 to 6/27/2022 when I pulled him out. They claim to be family BUT they would not treat their family as such. No clean linens for a week, ran out of food constantly, showers whenever and you couldn't find a CNA or nurse if you needed one as they were either socializing or out smoking. Only one nurse and an OT kept me informed and were caring. The rest need a refresher course in how to treat patients.

Do NOT use this facility. The director( Debra Brazill ) is very rude and hung up on me several times. They lost very important papers ( POA) and argued with me about the validity of the POA. Even after I told her she did not have all the info ,she hung up again. If you run into a problem , good luck especially on the weekends. No help and they will hang up on you.

My husband was admitted to the Village Rehab Center after suffering a stroke. The personnel are rude, unhelpful, always too busy to talk with you, or just plain ignore your requests. Make appointments with you & never call because they were too busy! My husband fell off the toilet & hurt his shoulder. An aide was supposedly standing outside the door & told him to pull the chain when he was finished. My husband has dementia & doesn't understand directions at all. They knew this from the start. I think he was trying to get back in his wheelchair & was unable to do so unassisted. I don't know what the aide was doing, but he certainly wasn't watching out for my husband! I tried for over two weeks to have him released from rehab, but was ignored. I finally had to get nasty with them to get him released. That even took 4 additional days. Many excuses given but none valid as far as I'm concerned. How they got a rating of 5 stars is beyond me. I will never send my husband there again.

A very family oriented place, the staffing and sitters have treated me well since I've been here. I've been met with kindness and respect. Physical therapy has worked with me and remained patient as I regain my strength.

A Place for Mom has scored Villages Rehab & Nursing Center 8.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
