I would tell a friend: 1. I really like the residents as they all look out for each other. (2 of them told the nurse about my brother's toe but the nurse did nothing - she kept saying I'll call the doctor) 2. The 2 aides that take care of my brother during the day are wonderful and take great care of him and love home like a 'papa'. That would be [names removed] The night aides help themselves to the food/drinks I send to him for his afternoon snack which they take without asking. 3. They used to take people out for 'excursions' to like the zoo or animal retirement farms or museums but since the new administration people came the original wonderful nurse and the recreational aide as well as the amazing cook they had have all left. 5. The food is ok and the daytime aides are great about helping the residents but the food has gotten to be a diabetic nightmare since the original cook left. 6. I think they try but they in the admin area seem to blame others instead of accepting that things are falling apart due to their 'cutbacks' especially with the evening aides. The aides sit and chat or play on their phones more than check on the residents, play games or explore other things to do with the residents that don't go to bed at 7pm since that's when they put people to bed and then go sit in the living room and play on their phones or sleep themselves.... My mother was there for 2 weeks for respite care. I felt that my mother was safe at this facility. The room did not have an acceptable size television when we checked in, but that was rectified the next morning. We found a few cleanliness issues (toilet not cleaned properly, mold in the A/C unit). Again, those issues were resolved immediately. My mom has developed some dementia and the nursing staff are reluctant for her to return to Assisted Living long term. Mom can take care of all of her personal needs, but needs her medications given to her. I have texted, emailed, and left voice messages for their representative for a price for long-term Assisted Living and to schedule a tour of their Memory Care unit. I have had no response. Apparently, they don't want my lovely mother there. It is disappointing to me that they didn't have the courtesy to call me . Due to this, unfortunately I cannot recommend Trustwell at Hunters Crossing Place to others.

Was a perfect fit for the time we needed the assistance! The staff was very invested in our family member’s wellbeing, and hands on as some urgent needs arose!Availability of Respite Care, 2 weeks at a time. That was so helpful, as that was all the time we could commit!

The people locally at Hunter's Crossing Place were great. The care staff was awesome. But their style of billing is terrible. And corporate does not communicate or talk to you. So we ended up having to move my loved one out of there. The food was terrible. They said they could accommodate a gluten free diet for Celiac. It started out nice, but then the food they started serving her after about a month was terrible. The chef said that corporate restricted what he could buy.

Response from Trustwell Living at Hunters Crossing Place Assisted Living
February 15, 2023Hi Ken, Thank you for the feedback. We've sent your review to our senior leadership team so they can look into this. If you have any other information that would help with these discussions, please call us at 1-844-365-4826. Thank you again, Team Enlivant
They do not provide consistent nor adequate care often, they struggle to keep trained staff, and the corporate management has little interest in resident well being, simply profit. The mid level staff are generally kind, but the base level workers are lazy, and cooperate is dismissive and rude.

They are very accomodating in the kitchen area, if it's something my loved one does not eat, they will make something else, like a grill cheese sandwich or something. It takes a while to get acclimated, but don't be afraid to speak up if you have any issues. I picked this community because of the location, it was cleaner than other places, the staff was more attentive, and the most important thing, it was a smoke free environemnt.

Response from Trustwell Living at Hunters Crossing Place Assisted Living
September 19, 2022Thanks for the review and feedback, Johanna! We appreciate you taking the time to share with us, and we’re so glad to hear that you’re so happy with your loved one's care. Thank you again! – Team Enlivant
I have peace of mind knowing that everything is taken care of for my loved one. The staff is excellent. They're very friendly and good about getting in contact with me if anything is wrong or if I have questions. I like that she has her own place where her family can come in and visit, and we don't have to be amidst everyone else, especially now with Covid. She has plenty of space to get around in, and I feel that she's safe there.

Response from Trustwell Living at Hunters Crossing Place Assisted Living
May 20, 2022Thanks for the review and feedback, LB! We appreciate you taking the time to share with us, and we’re so glad to hear your loved one is thriving. Thank you again! – Team Enlivant
We had a great tour with Hunters Crossing Place. The staff were very informative and answered all of our questions that we had. They were also great at following up with us after the fact. We just felt another place we looked at fit our loved ones needs a little bit better.
When I was forced to make the decision for Assisted Living for my mom, it was heartbreaking. I found Hunter's Crossing Place, and during the tour, I could feel the hominess of the residence. I selected mom's apartment and set it up, and as usual, the first few weeks were difficult for her. The staff was so patient and soon mom felt right at home. As her dementia progressed, I eventually had to move her to Memory Care, which Hunter's Crossing also offers. They are so wonderful and patient with mom, and I was quite surprised that the pricing was so much less than other facilities available in Gainesville. I highly recommend Hunter's Crossing for Assisted Living and Memory Care. It gives me much peace of mind knowing how well mom is cared for.

At first our loved one said the meals and dining were not good, the breakfast would be served cold and sometimes what he ordered would be wrong or only half the order. However the meals are getting much better and now he is really enjoying. They also have activities for those who want to participate.

Hunters Crossing seemed like an excellent facility and the residents seemed happy and well cared for. If I needed to find a new place for my Mom they would be my first choice.

Started out as a great place, but once you're there, you see lots of problems. Staff shortages, especially at night and on weekends. No RN on premises, except during the week. Memory care director uncaring and uncooperative with police when staff stole money, credit cards, and jewelry from the residents. The food is terrible, for such a well-presented facility. You would think that the residents would get the best meals...it's unfortunate.

We just got there and they are working with us , the family, and there are no real problems. Because of the hurricane they evacuated the residents and my uncle has been home for 2 weeks. He has been wondering when he can return to the community. He was doing good as expected while at the community. They were helped with medication, drove him to doctor appointments, and they work well with his Physical Therapist. It is great for me so I can meet him at his appointments. The staff have been keeping up with me and they are kind, caring, and calm. It is small enough to get to know the family. So far things have been okay. He likes the meals and he goes and gets it from the dining room.

All the staff at Hunters Crossing have been absolutely wonderful from day 1 ! I had to move my mom and dad to a previous place, and they are 100% better cared for and they are happy! I also noticed the other residents are happy! The staff is especially caring and considerate ! They go out of their way to quickly solve any problem you may have , no matter how small or big! Most importantly, mom and dad are happy! I wouldn't go anywhere else!

[Removed] did a very good job in giving helpful information and touring the facility. I love the location, close to where my daughter and family live and next to shopping area. The place was very modern, clean, and inviting. The residents seemed to be very contented and well cared for. The meal plan is very inviting. The residents seemed to be very relaxed and comfortable. I was very impressed with the whole atmosphere.

My sister-in-law stayed here while we went out of town. She had a good time and got involved in the activities they offered. The thing she didn't like was the food. They didn't have a lot of options and it didn't taste very good. Overall I would recommend them to a friend or loved one.

[Removed] provided my mother and me with an excellent tour of this facility. We were positively impressed by the attention she paid to my mother's needs and wishes. We had warm introductions to key staff members. Excited that week long respite stays in well designed studio with large bathroom and walk-in closet as well as personal care with daily rates at $150. Hunter Crossing Place is our top option so far.

My aunt is very happy here. She likes knowing that the staff are always helpful to her needs. The variety of food is appealing. She does participate in the activities with the friends she has there and that makes her feel at home. I am very happy to see her happy here and would recommend this community to other families.
