Since the moment he moved in, the entire staff has taken care of him from making sure he connects with residents for his social health, providing amazing meals, and getting him set up with all of his doctors appointments.... I cannot say enough about Traditions of Hanover! From the director all the way through to maintenance they are equally kind, caring and you know they really like their jobs by their attitude. Nothing is too much for them to do for anyone at anytime. I can feel comfortable when I leave my Mother that she is good hands and should there be any irregularity with her I can always count on someone calling me and alerting me within minutes, regardless of the time of day. Traditions has my seal of approval 100%.

When we were attempting to relocate Mom for safety we chose Traditions of Hanover. The management at Traditions of Hanover watch over their residents as if they were their own parents. Leaving your home and downsizing can be difficult if the right staff is not watching over your loved one. When an emergency arises they are their to look after your love one. The residents watch out for each other and the food is great. Residents can decorate their apartments as THEY see fit. A great place to live!

When my mom was in search of an Independent Community in the Lehigh Valley, we visited Traditions of Hanover, among other places. What set ToH aside from the others was the warm and oh-so-welcoming feeling we both had, right from the start. We were made to feel right at home - not just by the staff, but by the residents. The sales person that met with us barely had to say a word to us... the residents themselves kept coming up to us telling us about their experiences since moving to ToH. Now... over 3 years later... my mom still says that moving here was the best decision she's ever made. She is never bored, never lonely, never hungry (the food is AMAZING!), and never feels even for a second upset about living here. The staff is incredible (from the young gals who help out at meal time and cleaning to the top management) – they all truly care about the residents. I’ve not met a single staffer that thinks of their duties there as a “job”. She loves living there, but from my perspective, I’m so very grateful for Traditions of Hanover and the positive experience they’ve provided for my mom after having to leave her home of over 50 years.

After a couple of years, looking for an Independent Living facility that we liked and could afford, we called A Place for Mom. They were wonderful and put us in touch with Traditions of Hanover. What a great move we made ! The staff and residents are such great people! It's as close to home as we could imagine and every day is a different day. Never boring ! It's so nice that our children want to move here!

Traditions Of Hanover is going very well. Everything is great. She is doing better than expected. We moved her in a few weeks ago and were unsure as to how she would do. She has gained weight and made friends. I have no complaints. All appears to be going great at this facility.

I toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. The facility was well kept and clean, and all of the staff I met seemed friendly and professional. We ended up selecting another community, but this is somewhere I would have considered as an option for my loved one.

We were very happy with what we saw there and spoke to a few of the residents who raved about how good the food is. (when we got there it was during lunch and it smelled wonderful!) The apartments are a very nice size, including the Studio apt. with large closets. The only concern we have is that the day staff all goes home at night and only the Complex Manager is there....she lives on site. We were told that they do conduct Fire Drills and residents are told which stairwell to meet at and a staff member is assigned a certain stairwell to do a head count. At night, there is no one there except the live in Manager, so we are wondering what happens then. The other drawback is Studio apartments are in high demand (because they are more affordable) and they don't have many of them and the waiting list for one is long.

Response from Traditions of Hanover
September 8, 2015I’m so glad you had a great experience at Traditions! I hope that you’ll stay for lunch on your next visit so you can taste AND smell our delicious meals! I want to follow up on your concern for fire safety. I completely understand. We take the danger seriously too. In addition to the Fire Drills that you mentioned, the building does have automated fire doors that are activated in the case of an emergency so a fire would be contained. The Fire Department is right around the corner and their first priority would be resident evacuation (if necessary.) All I can tell you is that when we did a fire drill with emergency responders, we had 80 firefighters, police officers and EMTs participate. They know our building and residents and understand what is required to keep them safe.
We have been blessed to have my mother reside at Traditions of Hanover. This is the best possible location for my mother at age 90+. She has made new friends and has so many opportunities for activities and travel to local stores and events. Although I live within 40 minutes of her, after a long work week, I don't always have the energy to stop by and see her. But with her living at Traditions, I know that she has everything that she needs. She 'checks in' daily with the staff, who are more like family. They know each resident by name, which also made this a big part of our decision. If you have a loved one who is self-sufficient, but needs to move from their own residence, this is definitely a great place. Our mother was included in the decision to move, which was not easy for a very independent woman who lived on her own for almost 20 years. Our family is now at ease knowing that Mom is safe, and has friends close by. They also provide many in-house musical and social events which are included in her monthly rent. What could be better! Thank you Traditions and JM for not giving up on finding the best location for Mom. It has proved to be a life blessing for our whole family!

Overall things have been very good at Traditions of Hanover. It is a very nice, clean facility, and the staff have been very friendly and accommodating. Like many senior communities there is a much higher percentage of women than men, and I think it is nice that they arrange activities just for men every now and then for some "guy time".

Our experience with Traditions of Hanover has been a good one! The staff are incredibly accommodating, friendly, and knowledgeable. They really went above and beyond when it came to facilitating the move-in, and they've remained equally as present and helpful throughout our loved one's stay. They have a lot of day to day help and amenities available, including morning check-ins, van service, etc. The food was also great; high quality and plentiful portions!

I really liked this place. The set up is nice, the rooms are roomy, and I liked the atmosphere. I think that mom would thrive here, but again, I'm not sure of her finances. There was a mention of a 'tic' program that may be able to assist her. I will definitely check this out, and speak to mom about this location.

We are so happy that we found this place, Mom absolutely loves it! We were impressed by this place from the moment we walked in. The marketing person we spoke with, Megan Sedlock, was like a ray of sunshine! She was so helpful and so friendly during the whole process. Now that Mom has moved in we almost can't get a hold of her, they keep her so busy with all the activities! This place has a very friendly and social atmosphere, and all of the residents seem happy. The food is also great! We'd definitely recommend taking a look at this place.

The staff and fellow residents at Traditions of Hanover really went out of their way to welcome my mother to their facility. They were especially kind and thoughtful by providing a resident to "mentor" my mom to assist her in acclimating to her new surroundings and schedules. Megan and Jennifer anticipate needs and communicate with all concerned very effectively. They seem to know each resident personally and make everyone feel at ease. Everyone involved makes this place feel like a true, intimate and caring community.

Very friendly and personable to us. Nice facility that truly engendered a community feel and warm atmosphere. My mom liked the food and the people she interacted with. This may be a good match for her. She said she liked this facility best, but in some ways preferred Sterling Heights.

Response from Traditions of Hanover
October 10, 2013Thank you so much for taking the time to review Traditions of Hanover. The warm, friendly culture is something that we believe sets us apart! I hope you’ll bring your mom back again so that she can become even more comfortable with the idea of calling Traditions ‘home.’
They could use a little more activities and they could expand the activities. After meeting them I was impressed with community. Comparing it to another community I had viewed there was a huge difference in the quality of the help, the services. Traditions really truly care about its residents. Dad is very happy with the food, there is a variety and the quality of the food is great. Located in a very quiet neighborhood, with a medical facility right across the street. There is a grocery market within walking distance with a pharmacy that delivers.

Visited the site on Tuesday 4-22-13, very nice and they were extremely helpful. Megan Sedlock was very helpful. Honestly I think Esther needs more personal care that Traditions of Hanover has to offer. We are seriously looking at Atria, and they have a special going on that makes the price very similar to Atria.

A Place for Mom has scored Traditions of Hanover 10 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
