Towne Centre

I came in & out of towne center for work & honestly they are one of the worst at patient care. The nurses are lazy, don't care and don't know anything. Most days it looked like there were plenty of Aids but residents still weren't receiving adequate care. & Then I found out alot of the Aids werent even state certified to work. While in the building i personal wittinessed: *The CNAs are rude/ harsh when talking residents * CNA ignore call lights, * Residents dont smell/ look like they are being takencare of properly * Never any Nursing help in dinning room (very unsafe) & alot of residents need help eatting, cutting up food, opening condiments, sugar packs stuff like that the kitchen staff wuldnt do it most times because they were always short staffed. I know it is one of the cheaper Nursing homes in the area but I wouldn't place my loved one here.

Many days that I went to visit I had to clean my mom up and change her clothes also her bedding. My mom needed more then they provided. I was disappointed.

The staff members there have been great, and our loved one is very happy with the meals. Sometimes it is hard for our loved one to participate in the activities but they have a lot of things to do. The staff have kept up really good communication with our family as well., and the value for cost is great.

The community is affordable. Some of the staff are great to work with. The food is pretty good, the only downfall is the fruit is all canned along with a lot of the vegetables. Some of the activities they have to offer include: daily exercise classes, games, movies, and more for the residents to participate in.

The community seems to be very clean, and you don't smell anything when you walk in. There are a lot of activities for the residents. The staff encourage the residents to participate. There is always music playing at all times. The common area is big with lots of tables and places to sit. The nurses stations aren't typical, it's situated differently and better than the usual station. It feels more like a hotel or home.

Overall, I think it was a great place. There was always somebody there to answer the phone, which I really liked. They were very pleasant. You can tell people liked their jobs, which really sets a nice tone for the culture. I would highly recommend them. My only frustration was communication with the nursing staff could have been better. They didn't always return calls right away, to myself as his caregiver or to other medical facilities. Sometimes it took a couple of days. Activities looked really interesting and fun. They really offered a lot, just some of the activities were not currently ongoing due to Covid. There were lots of little sitting areas to go and read. The entryway was a very spacious, three-story atrium, so it was very bright when you walked in. I was pleasantly surprised that it was the most reasonable of all the facilities I looked at.

We chose Towne Centre because of the convenient location and the value for the money. We also knew people who have been here as well and had good experiences. His room was adequate for what his needs were. Overall, it was a pleasant, comfortable facility and I would recommend them.

My daughters viewed it and enjoyed it best compared to other facilities. All employees are friendly and helpful. [name removed] is the head secretary and knows all the answers. Towne Centre has many cities and theater. The residents can wash and dry their own clothes. The housekeepers are doing a good job and [name removed] is our director. He is very professional.

My wife and I are very comfortable.

My mother is in a one bedroom in the Memory Care area. She has received excellent care. We are so thankful she is being cared for in this facility. She loves the food and the staff. Thank you TC!

You have to keep a close eye to make sure your loved one is being taken care of. We do not use their caregivers we bring in our own because we do not trust their caregivers. My sister and I go every day to visit. We have been there in the evening to visit my uncle in memory care and there was no one to let us out of the unit. They cleaned my grandmother's room one time and things were missing from her room. My Grandmother was told she could apply for VA benefits, we applied with the gentleman they gave us would help us free of charge. He wanted a donation in the amount she would be getting per month. He dropped the ball and he stopped working on it because we did not give the donation. He would not give us the password so we could complete the application. His name and information is still being given out by the community. The residence are wonderful and the place is clean.

Just like at any other place, you have to be involved with the care. The staff is proactive and brings issues to me as well. The food is great. My mother in law is in the memory care, room sizes and layout are good. They have a non secured garden for memory care residents. They have a new director that has been very helpful.

I am happy to have found Town Center. My mother feels very comfortable there and I can visit her anytime being only 5 minutes away. She is involved in all the activities and goes to her three meals a day in the beautiful dining room. The staff is very helpful to anyone that comes in the front door. The place is very cheerly decorated at all times. She gets her room cleaned once a week and they do anything you want them to do. They do your laundry they clean your room they help you with any of your needs. I would recommend Town Center to any person wanting to get their parent into a healthful setting.

I toured this facility years ago for my mom. It is quite a beautiful facility and the woman who walked me through was very thorough and helpful. It is rather a large facility and far from our house, so I opted not to place my mom there.

Went to look into this place for my parent. The section for residents who don't have a lot of money reeked of urine. If you have money, they make the effort to clean.

If I could give them a 0 I would. My father was in assisted living & was abused by staff. I have pictures taken in the ER that I wish I could post on here. His whole torso was covered in bruising that no staff could explain nor was it on their documentation. He came to this facility able to walk 2 flights of stairs & down the street with a cane. They never walked him & he had Parkinson's disease. He was in a wheelchair within a month, his depends were soaked all the time. He was sent to the ER for a "psychiatric eval" when he pushed an aide for the second time. I was told by the ER physician they just wanted him out of the facility. Their was a couple nice nurses but most were lazy & don't care about the patients. When I demanded his medical records, I was told it would take days & I told them no, I was waiting for them. I didn't want them to have a chance to change charting. I was told by the lazy new nurse that she would call the police on me. My father passed away within 3 months of being there. He has been gone over a year & I still can't forgive myself for placing him in this terrible facility. They should be shut down.

Although they do not offer many of the services you would expect (e.g. prescription drug help) she is quite pleased with the accommodations. She does not like the kitchen but rarely uses it since she has a kitchen of her own. Also, plenty of activities even if she doesn't utilize them.

We looked at all of these options and thought all were nice; however, we felt The Meadows Memory Care was the best option for Mom. The Meadows was part of the Towne Centre Senior Living Option. Thank you for your help in finding a new home for Mom.
