For the value for cost, this is a weak answer as I don't have a whole lot to base my opinion on. The numbers worked for my father and Tockwotton was tops on my list (I've been inside every assisted living facility within 10 miles of East Prov but don't know the cost of any of them. Based on the experience we have had, we would absolutely recommend this community to other families. I want to really thank APFM. You definitely found me, I did not find your organization. You reached out when I really didn't think my father had any good, affordable options for assisted living. That was the only way I became aware that Tockwotton was a possibility. Moving there has been the best move My father could have made as he was having a tough time living alone.

Look for another facility...let me tell you why. 1. Falsified medical record as testing positive for COVID. No restrictions, no halt in outside visitors, no symptoms. 2. No one checking on either parent, both not leaving their apartment. 3. Fake menu presented on presentation, never had any of the food mentioned. Paying [removed]+ a month and eating sandwiches for dinner and being served meat that was as tough as leather. Both parents had good appetites and taste and both lost a lot of weight. 4. Fire alarms rang out for long periods of time throughout night and day. Told to stay in room. No one ever came to check on them or assure them of no fire. That's a major safety violation. 5. Unfortunate policy regarding leaving the facility, apt empty, parent in hospice. Still a full [removed]+ charge even though not there and not returning. 30 day notice required which understandable if moving somewhere else but when transported to a hospice facility to die, not even a portion of rent returned. Parents said no one answered the call alert buttons, we were always running to the facility. We did what was needed, not Tockwotten. Spoke with VP and she just had no response. Said they fired the director of nursing for not doing her job. I spoke with several families about checking their loved ones records, etc. My sister, myself, my son were at the facility every day. I would never recommend the facility to anyone.

This was a very nice community. the people were very nice and the community was clean. FOr us to visit my loved oe it would have taken a lot to get to her and we wanted to be able to get to my loved one easier.
I would tell others that they really need to know that the staff to resident ratio is extremely low. There is 1-2 aids max and 1 med-tech for 158 residents. They have no nurse on staff overnight. Someone from our family has to go every single day to make sure that they are being taken care of.

Response from Tockwotton on the Waterfront
October 1, 2021We have four programs under one roof, totaling 156 residents. Each program has their own compliment of certified nursing assistants, med techs, and RNs. In the nursing home, we have RNs on 24/7. Our Assisted Living program has RNs on 7 days a week during normal business hours as well as med techs and certified nurses aides on around the clock. I encourage you to reach out to us as we would appreciate the chance to talk with you to discuss this further.
This review is based on the time prior to COVID. I would tell my friends that I feel that my loved on is well taken care of. Her basic needs are meet. I am very pleased with how the staff and how they care to seem about the residents. I would say COVID isn't much different. The reason I picked this community is because of the activities. Since COVID, they aren't able to bring musicians, singers, and people singing the old songs. We are able to visit outside for 30 minutes a week and six feet apart with masks. There is no touching or giving food to our loved ones. They test staff each week for COVID. There was a situation where a part-time staff tested positive and the community decided to shut that floor down for all visitors as a precaution for 10 days. They do a great job with general communications, but if I want specific answers to my loved one's care. I have to ask specific questions.

Poorly run, bad management. Had a parent there and would never go back. Very expensive, but they skimp on everything for your parent.

The building is very nice but the administration is all related and they don’t really care about the residents. Very unresponsive to families, expensive but Crappy food, no exercise room or plan to help your parent meet people or adjust. Stealing issues. I would not recommend it to anyone.

We took a tour of this community which is beautiful and the ambiance was nice. The staff showed us everything that they offered, she was a nice, informative guide. On my walk through the community I saw a party going on with a group of residents and an activity in the library room. The residents seemed active and friendly. I didn't choose this community because it felt like a hotel and I just didn't get a warm n friendly feeling.

I most impressed by the elegance of the facility. The director of marketing was most kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. The community set up is conducive to support quality of life in a natural and safe manner.

Good and bad there - the facility was incredible. The facility was like a 4 star resort, like a hotel with incredible views of the river. Overall we were happy, but we had some issues with one particular person who was really good with the clients and made you feel like one was going on, but when you looked into it, it was actually different. The facilities were absolutely amazing though and definitely made you want to live there yourself!
