The Wellington at North Richland Hills

I would recommend The Wellington at the beginning stages of care, a small place to call home where everything is there for the residents to feel like it's a home. Unfortunately my loved one couldn't stay there with higher levels of dementia, but the staff was very friendly. I liked that I could go to them with questions or issues. They were there to assist and help out. They offered lots of great looking activities, and the cost was very reasonable. I felt like it was a good value. It was a very nice place, and you didn't feel like you were being watched at all times or bothered. They let you live your life there while still providing support.

They've had some turnover with Covid, but the staff they do have is always great. They have been really open with communication. Any time I call, they give me a call back. The admissions person was very nice and accommodating, especially considering we moved in right as Covid was happening. Our loved one's room is perfect. It fits his needs. And they've done extra little things when they saw he was struggling with this and that. For instance, they added a magnetic doorstop for use when going in and out of his room. It's the little things like that that make them really great.

The building itself is older and needs some updating. But I think they're going to try to do some refurbishing at the end of this year. After dealing with some other places, including a rehab facility, there's no comparison. If you want that feeling of caring for your loved one, go to the Wellington.

I have actually told others about the community. They are able to clean your room once a week which is included in the monthly fee. They are having to get a new chef into the community. They do have an alternate menu if you don't like what is being served.

[name removed] is so out-going i love it. Moving my mother in law there is going to be a blessing. Felt very welcome the first time i walked in. When mom walked in she was greeted and made welcome by staff and residents.

From the first phone call, i felt comfortable with [name removed]. My parents felt comfortable with their visit and are looking forward to living here

After visiting several places, we loved Wellington. [name removed] was great showing us around. We finally found the perfect place for me. I love it.

Made a lot of friends. Activities and staff are good. Feel safe here. Food is good.

I think they've done very well through the pandemic. The hard part was eating in our rooms, but the kitchen staff did very well through this. The cleaning staff did a great job also, and everyone in the office was great. Thanks all of your!

We chose The Wellington because of the way that they talked about the food at the time, the menus looked wonderful from what we saw. At first the food was really good, but they got rid of the chef and with the new chef the food is not good. The meals are not homemade as they used to be and everything on the plate is one color so not appealing to look at either. The apartment sizes here are really nice. The staff members are very friendly and go out of their way, I would recommend to others looking.

[name removed] was very nice until we started asking questions & then got very snippy with his answers. Pretty much a jerk at this point - stood with his back to us in the elevate to see 1 room - he did not show any thing outdoors, the rooms, dining, etc - very rude & again he was very upbeat & nice & loud when we first arrived but got very defensive when we begin to ask questions about housekeeping, meals, laundry, etc - WILL NOT BE LOOKING IINTO THIS PLACAE SINCE IF THEY ARE THIS WAY TO SHOWCASE THEIR PLACE, WE CAN ONLY THINK OF HOW THEY TREAT PEOPLE THERE

[name removed] here is amazing! We didn't end up moving forward at this property, but just briefly speaking with [name removed] over the phone was so helpful and informative - he is extremely knowledgeable and has an amazing positive attitude. You can tell he really cares for his residents.

One of the issues I had with the community is they were supposed to have housekeeping come in and clean my loved one's room once a week. Yet it didn't appear they were there for almost three to four weeks. This is a great community for anyone who is outgoing and independent. Your loved one would be best if they didn't need any type of assistance. The dining services have vary small portions and prepared food and not fresh fruits and veggies.
