They are very welcoming and attentive. We feel very at ease with our family member in their care. We chose this due to its environment, bright and clean, kind staff. Lovely grounds.

At the moment, my cost is too high for the services I am getting. Overall The Village is good and bad, but I am getting what I need. No place is perfect, but staying home was not an option. The good things for sure are the activities and being with people your age. The bad things are meals at a certain time and the pressure to get you to the dining area right now. And for me, having to wait on the staff for am and pm care - I'm not the most patient person in the world so having to wait for my shower or to get dressed can really annoy me.

I never see a fresh salad. And value is hard. As you know it's expensive with no help from Medicare. We picked this community, because It was closer and somehow it felt nicer.

My mother and step father were residents here, the staff was wonderful and treated them very good. They also treated our family very very well. When one of them didn't feel well, the staff was right there to assess and help them as needed. The staff was really above and beyond. One time when my step dad was in the hospital and my mom was there in their apartment alone for the night, the staff checked on her several times throughout the night. They were just excellent. My step dad has since passed and my mom is now in a Nursing Home because she needs more extensive care. She still wishes that she could go back to this facility. I wish she could, too! It's a great facility beautiful, like a 5 star resort. Even watching the staff with other residents, I just can't say enough good things. I would definitely recommend this facility to family and friends.

Our family had an in person tour with The Village at Waterman Lake and overall we thought it was a really good tour experience from everything that we saw, but ultimately we had gone with another facility for our loved one
The Village at Waterman Lake has been such a positive experience for our family, and based on the experience so far we would absolutely recommend them to other families. The staff members there are wonderful, they truly care about the residents and pay attention to their wants and needs. There are no odors anywhere in the community, it is very clean and neat. We like how engaging the staff are with the residents every morning and afternoon - they have plenty of different activities to keep them busy.

The food here is absolutely terrible! We've had many bad meals from moldy bread, and hair-in food to burnt food. Pancakes are always burned. When complaints are brought to the CFO about the food being burnt, the response is "everyone has an off day". This is an unacceptable response!!!! Especially when you're paying close to $6,000 a month for rent!!! Food should be the main priority but it clearly is not! And when anyone complains, those are the kind of answers you get. They have an answer for everything without fixing the problem. Everyone complains about the food but is afraid to complain to the right people because they're afraid they will get answers like that and be treated bad. This place is not cracked up to what all the reviews say! Not worth the money!!!

This community is worth every penny for me. I would never be able to get all of the services I am getting here at home. I have told many people about this community. This community as far as I am concerned is second to none. I toured many places but this is the best. I am being spoiled on a daily basis with the help and the services that I am receiving. I told my friends and my neighbors that this is the place for me.

I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The staff acts like they care about the residents at the community. In general they are kind and loving towards them. The community isn't perfect; however, no place is. You can't expect perfection due to variables in life and care. We are pleased with our decision. We don't think we could have done better for my loved one. The community has activities for the residents; however, some are still restricted due to the pandemic. The memory care has entertainment, bingo, and more for the residents to participate in. They have had animals such as chickens, baby goats, baby bunnies and more for the residents to enjoy and this was wonderful for the residents. There is a large common area for the residents to enjoy watching tv together.

We chose The Village at Waterman Lake because my in-laws had been here and so we had previous experience with the facility. Also, the location and overall ratings played a big part in our decision. The room sizes here are adequate. I have eaten here, I think they need a nutritionist on site. The food is good, but I think they need more balanced meals with lower salt/fat content and more fresh foods for the residents. The best part about the community would be the friendliness and the overall care of the staff members. They have been doing such a great job since the pandemic. and they have been working very hard to contain the virus. I would recommend.

My loved one is in independent living and can have their own aide come in prior to COVID. Now they will have someone to assist with items within the community. The aides who are currently working are the only ones working at this community. The housekeeping is free, they change towels and bedding once a week. There are other a la cart options. There are things to do consistently for the residents. This is an excellent community and very responsive. They will address any concerns and they are very friendly. If I can't get a hold of my love one they will go check on my loved one for me. They keep me updated with any changes. I am happy with this community.

Very impressive place, [name removed] was great and knowledgeable, the apartments very nice. The whole atmosphere was very upbeat. I could see my mom living here and thoroughly enjoying it. Residents seemed very happy with many choices to make with regard to their individual life styles and preferences. Seems a good value for what is included.

The staff was very caring and patient with fulfilling our needs as my mom went from living at home independently to possible independent living at their facility to assisted living within 72 hours. The ratio of nurses, CNA's and housecleaning to residents is very low allowing for an immaculate facility and individualized care. I can contact them 24/7 and always reach a supervisor. The standards are very high for the staff. The food is very good with multiple choices in the multiple dining rooms with the main one overlooking the lake. The staff knows where my mother is at every moment when I cannot reach her via cellphone. The staff has also assisted me emotionally with the work it entails placing a loved one in assisted living. The activities are scheduled and diversified.....games, movies, concerts, trips to drugstores, mystery rides and lunches, boat rides in the lake, bazaars, antique car shows!!!! They are a pro-active facility. My mom is doing so well my brother and I see her getting physically and mentally stronger. The care provided is going to allow us many more years with mom

This was a very nice commumity. [Name removed] was so nice and upbeat, really seemed to care about the residents. Pricing here is a little bit more reasonable than Atria but on a larger scale so did not feel as homey but Mom would be very happy here and seems like she would get outdoors more with activities and programs to get them outside. Sister and I like this one the best so far. Still touring a couple others. This facility has nail care every other week, can have Mom's dog (at least on a trial basis)and other very nice amenitites.

A Place for Mom has scored The Village at Waterman Lake 9.4 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
