Very pleased with his care. They check with us for everything. They are very accommodating. If he wants something else, they will find it for him. They have plenty of activities but at 97 if you don't go get him, he won't engage. I've noticed that the Director of activities sometimes doesn't have the patience with my father-in-law. He's been grinding his teeth and it's annoying. I know that and I continually ask him to stop. I bought lollipops so that seems to help so she needs to make sure she brings them with him and have him please do the activities. I don't want him sitting in his room alone. When I'm there, I'll make sure he's there and I joined them. It's extremely expensive. He had to go in memory care and he needs help with bathroom issues. That added to the cost [fee removed] and now we play over [fee removed]. He definitely is running out of money and I'm so afraid he will not have enough until he passes. I pray every day that we don't have to take him out of there. He is finally settled and it's a great place for him to be. I hope we can make arrangements for him to stay. November 12, 2024Thank you for taking the time to review our community. Our Opal community is a wonderful, supportive environment and I’m happy to hear you are pleased with our program. We do offer companion living in Opal and it is a great, economical for many concerned with funds. Please reach out to me at the community to discuss this offering and availability. Best Wishes.
Very nice, clean, up to date, excellent programs, good meals, and friendly staff. I would recommend to others, however they are on the high end of cost

October 12, 2024Thank you for letting us know how well your loved one is settling into life at The Village at Unity! It puts a smile on our faces knowing you enjoy our programs, meals, and fantastic staff. We know choosing a senior living community is a big decision and we are so glad you chose us. Please reach out if there is anything we can do to serve your family better.
Making many phone calls to various facilities became overwhelming. A Place for Mom was a one stop, thorough referral source that saved me so much time. My parents also had very unique specifications for an assisted-living facility and A Place for Mom helped them to locate a place that met their needs.

We picked this community, because mom liked it best. They are very professional, and super friendly. They always address residents by name.

The staff are very friendly and willing to help as needed. They refer to everyone on a first name basis and really get to know everybody. So it's really like an extended family. The food is varied, with many choices / substitutes if you don't like what they're serving that day. They serve dessert at two of the three daily meals. I like how well rounded and flexible their meals are. The facility itself is very beautiful and extremely clean, with a nice layout. It's like walking into a very nice hotel.

The Village at Mill Landing is an absolutely beautiful place. It's spotless - they're constantly cleaning and maintaining the facility. It looks like a beautiful hotel. There's always something going on for the residents and families. They have a movie theater and hair salon on-site, and they hold family brunches and dinners. The staff are wonderful. The other residents are wonderful. Everyone looks presentable and well cared for. I feel like we're getting a lot for our money, and care services that some places call "enhanced" is included in the cost here. I'm ticked pick with this place, and I highly recommend it to other families.

It is a beautiful place. The care care services could be better. It's really expensive. They keep it clean. The dining rooms look like restaurants. Overall, it's a very nice place.

This was a good tour we just did not feel like the community was a good fit for our loved one.
My tour here was very good. They were just pricier than other places I looked at. They had good facilities, with a jukebox, a room where residents could get together if not for Covid, and a movie theater. All that added to the price, I'm sure. I wasn't really sure my loved one needed all of that. Also the building was two levels, and stairs would have been a problem for him. But my tour experience was good, and I was really impressed with them. If I had to pick a place and didn’t have to worry about price, I would have picked them. It was a great environment, and the people there were very friendly. I was impressed with how cooperative everybody was. I know it's their job is to make things appear to be beneficial and advantageous, and they did a very good job at that.
My grandma moved into Mill Landing after living alone at home. The socialization has been so good for her! [name removed] is her favorite caregiver. As a family, we appreciate knowing that granda is doing so well.

The apartment is beautiful and fairly new. A big selling point was there is happy hour at 4:00 pm every day which has been a great opportunity for her to socialized without having to attend the traditional activities. I think the key is the staff. They are fun, friendly, very caring, joke around, and even dance down the hallways. They are so helpful and she is allowed to have her cat, which is very important to her. Cost wise, this community was better than others we visited . They have chef inspired meals with three choices and other alternative options as well, which has been great for picky eaters.

My grandmother has been living at The Village of Mill Landing for a year or so. This has been a wonderful relief for our family. My mother was worried when leaving Grandma alone and was struggling with the added responsibility of making sure Grandma got to her appointments, had groceries, etc. My Grandmother has a bright and cozy apartment that allows her independence and privacy. When our family comes to visit, we generally meet in the cafe to spread out. It was a difficulty decision to leave home, but Grandma is safer, eating much better and far more social that she was when living alone. This was the right choice for our family and my Mom's piece of mind.
