The Towne Care welcomes seniors with Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia to a charming community with a relaxing atmosphere. The single-story community is located in the suburban feel of Cypress, Texas.
At The Towne Care, residents receive person-centered specialized memory care. The community goes above and beyond thanks to a qualified team of caregivers, including an on-site nurse, round-the-clock registered nurses, and a wellness director. Visiting doctors also stop by. Additionally, the community may offer medical services like podiatry, vision, X-ray, wellness therapy, and more.
Besides on-site care, the open-concept community adds additional safety with multiple features in a secure living environment. Every 30 minutes, caregivers check in on residents with hug rotations — these could range from a handshake to a hug. Plus, motion sensors notify caregivers when seniors are up and about to help prevent falls.
While living at The Towne Care, residents have access to on-site amenities and hands-on activities. Residents can enjoy dietician-approved meals three times a day. When residents are not eating healthy meals, they can participate in daily activities, thanks to the community's Montessori approach.

Staff is friendly. There are zero activities for the residents. Management I feel like does the bare minimum. I'm happy with price and technicians. Management seems weak. Meals are not great. Not sure I would recommend. My mom seems happy, but she hates the food and needs some activities.

My cousin and I would very much recommend The Towne Care to other families. The facility is nice and clean and in a great area. We both live out of state and it is important to have a facility and staff that we can trust. The staff has gone above and beyond to help our mom by caring for her health concerns and being there for her when she went to the hospital. We can't thank them enough!

The staff at The Towne Care have been excellent. They are all very caring. If I can point out one particular person it would be [name removed]. She has gone above and beyond. Most importantly, we feel our mom is getting great care!

In our family's experience at The Towne Care, we have found the staff to be good. But the activities for the residents are lacking - there aren't really any.
Visited recently to see about placing a family member in their home. Manager was uncaring and not attentive. Residents not getting needed attention and no workers present. Do not do this to your loved one!

We really appreciate the flexibility the staff members have with our family when we want to bring our loved one home on occasion. Based on our experience we would recommend this community to other families.

Our tour with Sundance was really good. They seemed to have a lot of activities going on which was important to us. It was also a cool set up, they had a little village with shops in it.
Our family first had a virtual tour due to the covid restrictions, but once the communities opened back up we were able to physically tour the community. Our tour experience was great, everyone was very friendly and welcomed us with open arms. However, we did notice there were not to many care takers on the floor and maybe they were short staff from the pandemic.
Sundance at Towne lake has been an eye opener. They take care of my wife as an individual and treat her with dignity and respect. It has been a very good experience for me from the first meeting with the Admissions Director [name removed]. [name removed] personally took charge of my wife, [name removed]. [name removed] took her to her new “home” and helped getting her settled. When I left that day I felt confident that [name removed] and Sundance would take good care of her. Over time as I visit I am seeing the same care taker staff and have gotten to know them. Their focus is helping [name removed] be comfortable in her new home and the caregivers keep me updated on her daily activities and needs. I recommend this facility.

My Mom has been a resident of Sundance TowneLake for 2 1/2 years. In this time her Alzheimer’s disease has progressed- but her quality of life has remained happy and joyful as she is so well taken care of at Sundance! The personalized care and loving attention she receives is amazing. We are very grateful and are so thankful to have found the Sundance Family. Alzheimer’s care is not easy, but when approached through love it can be successfully managed and both you and your family member will have a happier life.

It's okay if the patient can take care of themselves, but we had to hire personal caregivers for around-the-clock assistance. The facility care was absolutely NOT what they promised, the meals were second rate, and the "activities" were very spotty to the point of being non-existent the majority of the time. The bed linens (which we furnished) even though there were two complete sets of sheets, blankets, often were not washed and replaced for the entire day. So the patient had to lay on bare mattress if a nap were needed during the day. This complaint fell on deaf ears more than once. Polite, respectful requests to remedy problems were just ignored; no compliance. There were a very FEW competent people there but we moved out after two weeks.

Excellent! The Montessori concept utilized with dementia patients is an exciting and commendable effort! We feel this will be a wonderful fit for Mom and are so excited to have her join the Sundance family in Cypress. She will love it! The Staff are top notch and very genuine.

I chose this community because they choose to use the Monastery method which means they have no T.V.'S in the room. Which helps people with memory issues. My mom is still very young and I like the way the caregivers engage my mom and get her up and out of her room. The community stays clean and have a great common porch area where they have access all the time. The cook here is amazing she will cook some of mom's favorite things. Her room is set up for memory care which makes her safe. Amazing activities here also like music therapy, painting and mom's love the cooking class. I would recommend this community for sure.

A Place for Mom has scored The Towne Care 8.1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
