The Rivers

This is a really nice facility and the tour went good. I saw good interaction with the residents. It is a clean facility. All the staff were highly knowledgeable to give me answers and valuable information about the community. This was too far from our home and not within a good proximity.

We recently moved my my Dad into a Independent Living apartment at The Rivers in Burnsville. I was worried he would struggle with the transition from his previous home of 30 years. It has gone much smoother that I thought it would. The staff at the Rivers is great. They communicate well and are very friendly. My dad likes the community. So far, so good.

During my tour i was able to get all of my questions answered. I was given a proper tour of the community and shown the activities that are offered. There were a lot of wonderful residents on site that were nice. One thing i really liked was the complimentary meal that the community offered. Everything was organized and overall i had a great tour.

My Mom utilizes the beautiful walking trails every day. Apartments are very spacious and the facility has multiple wonderful spots to sit and visit or read. I am very happy we chose The Rivers for my Mom.

The staff is very nice here and they always go out of their way to help when needed. The residents here are very personable and nice too. There are lots of fun activities for the residents to participate in and the residents seem to love them.

I would rate this community as great in all aspects. Each of the goes out of their way to be there for us at every turn. They encourage us to enter into as many of the activities as we can in order to create a family atmosphere for all residents. The dining room serves wonderful meals, including white table cloths and napkins. The wait staff is coached to treat us all with a smile and a great attitude that they are pleased to serve us. ALL areas are kept neat and clean at all times. ALL our needs are met with a smile and often times a hug! The Christmas season has been a lot of fun. They have activities scheduled for each day with choirs from the area coming to sing for us and with us, fun! The Christmas Holiday Gala was fabulous. Starting at 4pm with favors and wine while greeting each other with a Happy Christmas Hug. The evening continued with a special dinner of Beef Wellington and all the trimmings - serenaded with Choir Music and continuing with a Gospel Choir sing along. Fantastic. There are Christmas decorations at every turn including decorated Christmas trees. We also had an evening "Lite up the Nite" starting at 7pm. Glorious nite with stars shining and a church choir singing and then all the outside was lite-up with lites on the trees and portico's and gazeebo. Followed by hot chocolate and cider with Christmas cookies. This is the way for seniors to live! Bless us all.

There is really not much that can be said about The Rivers facility except that it is a decent facility and the staff members get the job done when it comes to taking care of my loved one. I can't think of any improvements.

Everyone at The Rivers is very nice and very sociable. All of the staff members and residents are just great people to work with and to have dealings with. They do seem to be a little bit understaffed however.

So far so good at The Rivers. We are working through it. I do wish he had a bigger room. We've had to have a few meetings to clarify some things. The TV service is supposed to be included and they don't seem too committed on him getting good TV service. The age of the building kind of shows. Other than that so far so good as I said.

I can not think of anything for The Rivers to improve on. They are just such a friendly staff and it is a very comfortable feeling just being there and knowing that my loved one is looked after as well as she is.

They all seem to do a pretty good job over there at The Rivers facility. I rated the place fairly high and gave it a five-star rating overall and all of the sub-categories were rated just as highly for the place.

I do not really know anything about the place. All I did was help move my loved on in to his apartment and I have just visited him a couple times. As far as I know he is happy there, so that is a good thing.

The staff at The River is so good about helping dad feel at home. Dad has a visual impairment and they staff are so good about saying dads name and helping him feel comfortable. The food here is great. They are also very accommodating of dads dog since he needs the help. Very pleased with this facility.

The staff at The Rivers are friendly. They means well but do not always follow through. They are not always responsive to my mom. When she calls for help they take too long. The staff does not even take mom to breakfast and lunch as they are supposed to. They do respond to my inquiries which I appreciate and they try to make things better.

Living at The Rivers is okay. There is not much I would really say about it that stands out.

Stunning retirement place for my parents. Love the folk that live there and looks like they are having a blast! The Lunch we had was perfect and the soup was out of this world. I feel like I can relax and trust the family and workers at The Rivers to take care of my folks when they move in next month!

We are receiving in-home care for my mother-in-law and she loves it! We are really glad we found it, we feel she is safe and cared for and there is 24/7 help, we're very happy with how everything has gone.

They have done very good so far. It's a nice place. I don't have any concerns or complaints, with the food or maintenance or any of it. We are very happy with it, I would rate it very highly from our experience at this point.
