Beautiful building but if you need any assistance do not bother. Poorly staffed. Poorly managed. Poor work ethic. Poor communication with families & residents. Frequent changes in leadership. Ombudsman involved due family complaints. Stay away.

Everyone was very nice but again I think especially an off hours the care wasn't very good or available and night staff day staff evening staff didn't communicate well with each other so I believe my mother went without eating for probably a whole day at times because they let her skip any meals she wanted to thinking that she had eaten the meal before that or the meal after but they weren't communicating to each other so I think in some cases she may have gone for days without having a meal. I think they are pretty par for the course.

There was a changeover of staff several months ago and things seemed to get better. There were a few questionable moments in the first several months. For memory care specifically. Staff seem to know [name removed] well. They know his likes and dislikes. They make sure to include him in activities. David seems very content.

Mom is doing very well at Hayden Grove. I know they have had some employment issues & changes. They have kept communication open. [name removed] doesn't need much assistance so it hasn't affected her . We are pleased.

My mom loves living in Hayden Grove, it is a beautiful facility. She enjoys the food and the other residents. They provide activities that she can participate in and enjoy. The biggest issue we have is that there is constant turnover in staff from the top down. In just the last month, the Executive Director, the Director of Nursing, the head of maintenance, the Director of Sales, and countless aides have left. What is happening? This means there is not clear instruction or consistency of care. Aides are constantly in training. Some of the aides are very nice and caring. Others not so much. We wish they could provide experienced leadership and training to their staff.

Make sure you truly understand the staffing at the place (turnover rates and if the staff is happy) I picked this community, because it is close to home, clean, room available by the elevator, and the activity director had a music background. . Hayden Grove may be a great place - but unfortunately our experience has not been great lately due to staff communication and or turn over.

Hayden Grove Bloomington is a nice looking place, well kept, and the activity person makes sure to include people. They could do better with communication, we had to talk to them about cleanliness of memory care residence. That has improved. I would recommend this facility to people looking in the area. It is nice that they have all services provided right up through hospice.

I toured Hayden Grove Bloomington and it was a good tour! The facility was pretty clean. All of the staff that I met were great. The friendliness was great, also!
Based on our experience we would recommend this community to other families.

It is a nice community but we think the staff team could have better management, communication and organization. They could also keep notes on medication management, meal times, etc.

Currently there is no director of nursing and the care has been really spotty to the point that we had to bring in our own equipment for our loved one. When my loved one moved in he didn't receive a Emergency call button for over 6 hours. They staff is very short staffed however they did get a new cleaning service that has been decent. I believe they shouldn't be taking in more residents if they don't have the staff to properly take care of them. Long emergency call waits to the point of no response at all. My loved one just doesn't trust the staff to properly help my loved when in need, when there is in enough staff it is good unfortunately they can't be everywhere at once and help everyone. Really hard to get ahold of the health care staff. After addressing our concerns with the staff we have seen some changes within the community but not much. However my loved one does love the food provided with the community. My loved one enjoys the activities provided. The building is very modern.

Hayden Grove is a beautiful facility, and we liked the pricing of it because things like laundry and meals were included - it was not a nickel and dime situation, the prices per month were less then other facilities we had looked at. The major gathering and common areas were always clean but house keeping in our loved ones room sometimes needs improvement, it was not always clean. We absolutely adored some of the staff there - the office staff were very nice and friendly. The care takers were fabulous you could tell that this was their calling, and some of the staff you could tell just did not really enjoy their job and that it was not their calling. They did have activities but due to our loved ones health there was not much they were able to participate in.

A Place for Mom has scored Hayden Grove Bloomington 7.6 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
