The Memory Center Atlanta

When we first got there it was really nice , Clean, smelled great . The food tasted good. Now not to good, not enough staff, they have cut back on food taste, cleanliness is not good. But the staff that is still there from a year ago is great!

The Memory Center Atlanta has an excellent activities director. When it comes to the value for cost, the first year [fee removed], and then the second year [fee removed]. Very high increase! However, based on the experience we have had so far, I would recommend this community to other families.

Caring staff of caregivers and managers. Lots of stimulating activities, lovely comfortable facility. The Activities Staff very proactive and work hard to encourage all residents to participate. The food looks appitizing, varied; and healthy.

We found The Memory Center on f Atlanta in John’s Creek GA to be too expensive. Our loved in needed high-level care. The cost was over $[removed] / month (that’s high for GA), and then we received a 7% rate increase after 12 months. We found equal care at another facility and are saving $[removed]/month.

They were great folks who took good care of my brother during his final months. They were able to handle his aberrant behavior unlike several other facilities he was in.

I want to start by telling you why The Memory Center Atlanta is different/better than other facilities. The entire facility is devoted to folks dealing with the different levels of dementia. Your loved one has safe access to everywhere in the property. They have the largest outdoor space I've seen at any facility for memory care residents. The outdoor space is closely monitored, fenced, and residents must be accompanied while outside. The caregivers and nurses are the best. Since there is not an "assisted living" aspect , everyone working in the facility understands dementia. My mother has severe dementia which costs much more at other facilities because of the "standard of care" charge for the different levels of care required. TMC Atlanta does not have these fees. My mother is safe, well cared for, and treated kindly. I am very happy with the choice I've made for her.

The Memory Center Atlanta is the best around. Once I took the tour of the facility, I knew it was where I wanted to put my twin brother. Looking at quite a lot of facilities, I felt he would be safe and taken good care of at the Memory Center. He has been there for several months now and I still have the same opinion. He loves the food, which I had lunch there today. Vegetable soup, salad, and chicken florentine was delicious! The staff is great and always wants to help,if needed. They have great activities planned for the residents.

I would recommend them based on my knowledge of similar places. We had very few choices because of mother's mobility issues. I have been very pleased with the supplemental services such as physical therapist and physician services.Well, almost immediately after we moved there they had a change in the director, which was really my biggest issue with the place we came from

They need to improve on everything. My loved one was there for a week, and they would not let me get her furniture. The Executive Director was terrible. The Nursing staff was short. They withheld my loved ones medication, who was in pain.

What stood out to me at this facility was the tremendously helpful administrative folk, including the director, who helped get my brother moved there. One possible improvement- for those of us who do not live near, a short informal status report via text or email would be helpful. It would probably help the staff not to have so many phone calls too. I hear second hand from my brothers poa/ friends.....they have been positively impressed with all aspects, including housekeeping. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

I am extremely that we found the Memory Center for my mother. She was in need of special care and they have really been accommodating! I can't thank the staff enough for making my mother feel at home and also making sure she receives her medication properly. They also are most helpful with the billing and helping me get reimbursed from the long term care insurance in a timely manner. I no longer have to worry that my mother is cared for in a positive way!

I'm very happy with their service. They're taking excellent care of my mother. The food always smells good, and my mom seems to be enjoying it. If I'm there during mealtime, they'll feed me too. They have ice cream socials, which is great for camaraderie. They have a lot of other activities, like Bingo, dancing, church, etc. The residents aren't just lying around in bed. I'm very happy with the cost, especially compared to another facility we experienced. At The Memory Center Atlanta, they go above and beyond. They're very familiar with me and helpful when I call or visit. They post pictures and send me daily emails. If they have any concerns, they call me. They have a good ratio of caretakers to patients. I'm very pleased with them.

Ex weekly visits with NP working with the Dr Who can bring in geriatric specialists Emory John's Creek hospital is within 2 miles if needed also Good food management staff and service The chef also has set up a family lunch for the. Residents. He's great!

The staff members at The Memory Care Atlanta have been wonderful and the quality of care has been fabulous. We have found the meals and dining services to be great, sometimes we have to talk what our loved one says about them with a grain of salt. Even though our loved one does not always participate in the activities, what they do offer looks wonderful. It is expensive but they live up to what they say and meet the expectations we would recommend them to other families.

This is our loved ones 4th community and this has been the best one. The staff members are great and truly care about the residents. The Memory Center Atlanta is truly a caring and compassionate community. The director [name removed] is very hands on, if they are short staffed he will jump in and be very hands on. They have a list of a ton of different activities and events schedule on a whiteboard. Everyday there is ice cream, at least 4 or 5 different things - bible readings, cooking class, bingo, live entertainment and pool noodle volleyball. They have a little store in the community where the residents can shop, everything they advertise and say they will do they follow through with. We would recommend this community to all families in a heartbeat

The Memory Center community is nice, and we would highly recommend it to others. The facility itself really stood out to us, they had so much to offer the residents like good activities, and the rooms are great.
