New ownership

It’s too bad that the negative review remains. The Maples (f/k/a Blair House) is under new management, and the services and care are vastly improved. I moved my mom out of Blair House in 2020 and in fall of 2021 moved her back because of the changes. Highly recommend the Maples at Stoneleigh for loved ones living with Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Not Safe

Medication errors can be fatal. Blair House is not safe. There are staff who ignore incontinent residents who need help toileting and staff say, "I don't care; that's not my resident." Rooms are not sanitized when a Resident moves out and another Resident is moved into the vacated room. There is no dedicated cleaning crew. There is no dedicated kitchen staff. All employees are expected to do all jobs. But, they do not. Employees with no training as care aides are made to take Residents to the bathroom and clean their soiled bodies, if they are cleaned at all. The State of Maryland cited this facility for severe deficiencies. Read the report before considering this facility.
