Sometimes what the menu shows and what they have can be different or doesn't really match the description; if my wife orders her meal it frequently gets delivered late or a couple of times the order has been lost...for $10, you might expect a better experience. 5 for all. The Groves is clean, the staff is friendly, they have food choices, lots of activities, staff is willing to listen and do what's best for the resident. Value is probably good. All facilities seem high priced. There's been a learning curve, which is expected. There is one way of managing all residents, no matter their level of memory care. I'm guessing this is standard? The staff is willing to listen and adapt as much as they can.

The staff at The Groves are always available and wonderful to work with. From the first point of contact [name removed], the nurses, and the dining staff, they are all amazing and caring professionals that make you feel at home. I would recommend The Groves to others.

Our family had an in person tour with The Groves by Senior Lifestyles and the tour was great but we didn't like that the staff was not interacting w the people at all & they were behind a window the whole time. It felt like a hospital to me w locked doors.
Mom loves it there. She loves that the staff calls her by name. She loves the food and the activities. She especially loves the "food flair" where they prepare recipes and she gets to participate. She loves the external musicians that come in to entertain. We have been very pleased with everything at The Groves by Senior Lifestyle!

At the very beginning they were great. It is a VERY nice place, I would go here myself. They take great care of the residents. Everyone seemed to be happy, staff and residents. My loved one was only here for 2 days. My loved one passed away and they sent us a bill far long after she had passed even though she was not there. I am very disgusted with them and they have gotten pretty nasty. It put a bad taste in our mouth the way it left off.

I would move in myself if I had the chance! I like everything about The Groves, and my friend loves it there. It's a wonderful place with wonderful staff The food is great. It's also a pet friendly community, and the staff take her little dog for a walk twice a day.

The head nurse was wonderful-everyone was nice-very proffesional. The food was awesome, my loved one loved the food . Residents could go anytime of day, to get there meals. The activites person was amazing. The cost was cheaper and we got a lot more. It was cleaner and the food was better. I will always recommend APFM, if anyone needs a place for a loved one. Overall. it was well worth the money.

I toured The Groves by Senior Lifestyle and our tour experience was good. We chose another community because when I saw groups of people out in the open at different levels of decline, it didn't sit well with me. I felt like if they needed help there wasn't enough staff. They were all kind of grouped together in a large group and I couldn't tell if there was enough staff to take care of that large group.
I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The amount of activities and the staff are very engaging with the residents and this all stands out to me about The Groves. My loved one loves the community and that all the meals are included. Plus all the activities offered to the residents are enjoyed by my loved one. They have fashion shows, specials by the chef for small groups, meet and greets for new residents, holiday celebrations, field trips, and more as some of the activities offered to the residents.

It extended my mother's life. She was very lonely, and now she's active. She has friends. She's eating healthy, and the food is good. The staff all know the residents and call them by their first names. They learn their clients and really take good care of the elderly. Everybody seems really really happy there, including my mother. It's just a fantastic place and definitely worth the money.

When it came down to it we just went with another community that we felt met my loved ones needs better. The tour was excellent, there were awesome people running this place. I was looking for the level of the resident and what their level of care was in comparison to my loved one to make sure that she had someone around her also that was like her.
i toured this community and had a neutral experience with the guide and tour itself. this facility was beautiful, but the memory care unit felt more like a hospital than a home.
