since my Aunt has been here the staff has been wonderful. The place is clean and well kept. the activities could be more inclusive for all members. The food is well prepared and hot but a wider variety would be appreciated.

We came to Green Ridge on a trial basis to see if mom would be happy. Though it was a rocky start she now considers here her home. Everyone is friendly and supportive. It has provided peace of mind for everyone in the family.

Response from The Gardens of Green Ridge
October 5, 2023Thank you for kind words, recognizing our efforts, but most importantly thank you for choosing our facility and for allowing us to care for your loved one. Providing resident care is our main priority.
Our family had an in person tour with The Gardens of Green Ridge, and we thought it was a great tour experience. We found the staff members to be very professional and the tour was done thoroughly.
Everybody we met on our tour at The Gardens of Green Ridge was very nice and welcoming. I thought the facility was too big for my loved one to navigate though, and I just didn't have that feeling of "this is the one" like I did with the place we chose.
If I could rate zero stars I would. Definitely not trained in memory care at this facility.

The community has a gated courtyard that we are able to do and social distance visit. The staff is very friendly and they are trying to do as many activities as they can. I would definitely recommend this community to others.

I just wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude to the staff at The Gardens of Green Ridge. The staff are dedicated to the care of the residents and their families. The staff are always willing to help with any issues that may arise weekends or week days, always an open door. Residents are taken on trips to the casino, shopping etc. The Gardens of Green Ridge was defiantly the best decision for our loved one.

This started out as a great place for mom when they first opened. Four years later, it's clear huge cuts have been made to staff, care, and nutritious meals. What's still good? The staff members are kind and caring. The facility itself is nice and spacious. Nothing special, but adequate. What's bad? The facility is so understaffed that residents sit in their own waste for hours before being helped. Residents who need to see a doctor are not provided any assistance getting to that doctor - they must arrange their own transportation. If they choose to see Dr. [Removed] (who is listed as the doctor for this and many other facilities with hundreds of patients), the wait is weeks long. When a resident is going through the transition from ambulatory to needing a wheelchair, for example, that three weeks is translated into multiple falls requiring hospitalization simply because a wheelchair cannot be approved by Dr.[Removed]. Unacceptable. If you send a family member here, be sure you can afford to hire a private nurse or a care assistant to come in regularly to check on your loved one, or be there daily to assist, as I see some families do. I'm also deeply concerned about the nutritional value of the food. We absorb fewer nutrients as we age - fresh, wholesome food becomes even more essential. High sodium, empty calorie food like hot dogs, mac and cheese and pasta simply do not provide the nutrients residents need. There is a salad offered - but iceburg lettuce and tasteless tomato offer little nutritional value. I doubt this facility would pass a thorough inspection - especially in light of the patient/care giver ratio. It's a highly profitable mechanism for the owner company, however. My mom fell multiple times and was sent to the hospital each time - nobody was aware that she was dehydrated, malnourished and needed extra care. SO disappointed in the Gardens - we were big fans when it first opened.

We toured The Gardens of Green Ridge. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. It was a clean and well-kept community. It reminded me too much of a nursing home, and my loved one needed a more lively environment.

So far it is still a work in progress for my uncle here at this community. We are still going through a transitional period. The staff is kind and trying their best to make him comfortable here. He has a some problems, so we are trying to get that under control. I like the fact they are willing to work with me in regarding his care plan. Overall I'am hoping things continues to go in a positive direction.
