Happy daughter

What a beautiful place! My mom was just admitted a few short weeks ago. The staff has gone above and beyond to accommodate her each and every need! We love the food and the environment. Mom has joined the bridge and Mahjong clubs. Her mind is being stimulated and she is loving every second of her stay. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Happy with our decision

We are starting off 2018 the right way. It was a long 2017 with the lose of our mother and keeping dad stimulated and cared for has been a difficulty task. We admitted dad at to the Pines in late 2017 and it has been a blessing beyond anything that we could have even imagined. He is in Evergreen which is the secured dementia unit, and he has become a changed person. He has light in his eyes again. He is eating, participating in activities and smiles at us all when we arrive to have dinner with him each night. The staff has gone above and beyond to ensure that the transition for him was a smooth one. There is a reason why this facility has won the best of 2018!!!

An Excellent Facility

What a beautiful place. My grandmother was admitted a few weeks ago...we have found such joy in knowing that she is being cared for by such amazing people. The staff is pleasant and caring. We toured several different facilities in the area and so happy that we selected this one! Hands down the best around! Highly Recommended!!

Not a good experience

Mom received a decent amount of attention at this community. The community was clean. The head nurse put her on medication and it took a trip to the hospital to get her off of it. The food was good at first and then it started to decline.

Lovely New Home for Mom!

We moved our mother into The Pines in February, 2017. We are so pleased with everything! She toured The Pines in the summer of 2016 and was immediately impressed with the bright decor, loads of natural sunlight, and the overall feel. We are so glad that she doesn't have to worry about driving or meal preparation. The staff is beyond helpful and any question/concern is handled immediately. Their attention to each and every resident is very evident. My mom has opportunities each day to socialize, whether during games, exercise, or happy hours. We really like the fact that everything is included in her monthly fee. She has three excellent meals each day in a beautiful dining room, laundry and cleaning services, and local transportation. She has played games she has never played, done crafts, and enjoyed various events. Family is always welcome and we look forward to many new memories in her new home. The staff is second to none. We are blessed to have found The Pines and highly recommend it to those searching for a quality experience for the older adults in their lives.

Great turn out.

We just admitted my mom this month to the facility and the entire experience has been great. Coming from out of state and moving her from the home that she has been in for the last 30 years was a challenge to say the least. But the facility has been great with having us all adjust to the change. There are 6 of us siblings and we all knew that this is what mom needed, but needed to let her making the decisions. It has been a great outcome. The place is very clean and presentable and the food is delicious.

The Pines......Home!!!

Thank you for the kind and compassionate care that you have given to Grandma since she arrived. It has been quit a journey with her and finding the placement that best suited her needs. We were surprised with how quickly she acclimated to her new surroundings. We could not begin to tell you how much it means to us with the specialized, individual care that she is receiving. We looked at several different facilities in the area before making this decision. It is so overwhelming for the families as well as the residents themselves. We knew as soon as we walked into The Pines that this was the place that we wanted Grandma to stay. From the second that we walked in we felt like we were at home and a part of the family. We are forever grateful! Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts!

Finally, a facility to please mom

The people are friendly, the residents are pleasantly aware. The facilities encompass an actual movies theatre with almost 30 reclining seats with cup holders! There are all types of activities, including lunches out at local restaurants, shopping, cards, games and entertainment. The staff is friendly, helpful and polite. The rooms are like a large hotel suite and the bathroom has grab bars, a seated shower, etc. Everything is new, since the facility is only about 8 months old. My mother did not want to move out of her home, but after 2 weeks there, she was recommending it to people in the doctor's office and to people from church. We were pleased that most all of the residents were active and mentally alert. I would certainly recommend considering this facility.

Running Into A Few Problem, But This Is A Nice Community

I was very pleased with the services that a place for mother provided us with, they were very helpful. I have mixed feeling about The Pines. It is a nice and clean community. The staff have been very friendly. My wife is having some issues with the food. They serve a lot of meats and sandwiches. We are also running into problems with taking my wife to her appointments. These were critical items during my decision making. They advertise free transportation. Overall I'am hoping these things can improve.

Response from The Pines Senior Living

December 19, 2016

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about The Pines Senior Living. We do our very best to make sure that we can accommodate each resident’s likes and dislikes. Our chefs are always open to ideas and alternate options for meals. They make every effort to accommodate resident requests. If a resident is not happy with the 2 special entrees at dinner , our chefs will provide another option. Nutrition and hydration is very important and we are committed to ensuring that our residents are eating and drinking appropriately. Transportation in our car is always complimentary. We will always make it our mission to get your loved ones to any appointment that they may have whether it is to a physician appointment, out to lunch with friends, meetings, church, or even to the local barber’s. However with that being said, we do have to put a limit on the distance that we can travel and ask that you schedule these appointments with the front desk. If the distance is more than 15 miles away, we are not able to transport that far, however we will assist in finding alternate transport and setting that up for the resident. Our concierge assists residents in scheduling the driver and we strive to accommodate all of our resident’s transportation needs. Although we will make every effort to assist you, sometimes last minute requests can not be honored if they conflict with previously scheduled appointments. Again thank you very much for sharing your review with us.

Slow to meet advertised/promised service

The Pines promises a relatively high quality senior living for the area, but has been slow to get a stable management team, care staff and chef, so not yet providing the superior standard of service advertised and promised. So at the moment the rates are inappropriately high, causing big turnover in residents. Hoping things improve as they approach one year since opening.
