Was not happy with the care I received. I was provided with a room but not the care I should have received. The staff was on their phone and talking with each other rather than attending to the patients.

Response from The Cortland Wyoming
July 19, 2024Thank you, John, for taking the time to share with us your experience with our Courtland Wyoming community. We are dedicated to putting the proper teams in place to provide the best care for all our residents. Sincerely.
Family made arrangements for Mom to go here right after rehab stay. The room was not ready when we arrived. TV wasn’t usable for over a week. Medications not consistently given in a timely manner. Toilet very dirty and not cleaned for several days. Mom was never given an introduction to the facility so she did not fully understand what “assisted living” really meant. Did not feel welcome by staff. Not able to shower for a week! Management change over taking place and from our standpoint it was not going well.

The layout of Vista Springs community is fine, and the rooms there would be about a three out of five. The food is about average, and we would recommend this community to others if they can afford it.

This is a new facility in the former Taft elementary were my mom taught many years ago. The activity director let us know how the day was structured with a different activity every hour. Rooms were very spacious and has a tub which is important to us as mom does not like to shower. This will hopefully be the place for our mom in the memory care area. The section limit of twelve was also a very important factor.

A Place for Mom has scored The Cortland Wyoming 5.7 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
