My dad was at the Conservatory for a short time. It was beautiful, but he felt that he didn't belong there. The facility was well designed and they offered exercise classes, book club, movie nights, and a full schedule of activities. The food was very good. It was served buffet style and easy to manage. The staff was very friendly and polite. I liked the built in notification system that let the front desk know if the resident(s) opened their doors in the morning and if they didn't, the staff would call first and then send someone to do a welfare check. It gave me peace of mind. Seemed like a very active and social community.... Read more

The staff are extremely friendly, caring, and professional. They are all fairly young & very caring. They always find time to listen and address concerns when appropriate. We have monthly Townhall meetings where we are updated by the management staff in each of the areas and are free to ask questions and express concerns. Maintenance is always timely and often on the same day. The whole management team including wait staff are courteous and feel like family. The activities are fabulous & the pool is wonderful & well maintained.

Overall a nice place. But be cautious about extra charges like in the contract you only get two meals a day. You have to pay extra to get three. Recently my mother was in the emergency room and came home and they charged her $6 per meal to bring her food to her room when she was unable to walk down there. They also charged $45 to assemble her walker which took them a few minutes. Overall not a bad place but pay attention to extra charges and where they're cutting corners.

Everything from the overall experience, friendly of the staff, the quality of care services and the meals and dining have been very good. The cleanliness is good but we did have an experience with bed bugs. The activities are average, but based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to others.

The move process was good and the staff is friendly and helpful. The food quality my mom isn't happy with, so she doesn't use the cafeteria but it is still included in the cost and she really doesn't like that and complains regularly about that. The facility is great value for all that it offers and the residents are wonderful. What is something to know is that there is only 1 year lease options and the rent increases at a rate of 6% a year, which is significant and means we can't afford to stay long term.

I highly recommend the Conservatory for folks who are social and want to see new friends every day. Some of the things that make it special are: flexibility re: dining (3 hour blocks for each meal), daily happy hours (with snacks), daily movies in a comfortable theater, and an "ambassador" program to help new residents adjust.

My mom is a resident at The Conservatory at North Austin. The facility has a lot of great amenities and it's a wonderful community for elderly people who need more care than what typical apartments offer. My only complaint is the food- It's not good and my mom doesn't want to eat it but we have to pay for it and that is making her unhappy. I would recommend this facility to others.

My mother absolutely loves her apartment. I looked at a lot of different places and there is a great value for the size of the apartments. It is well laid out whereas some others I had seen weren't the best. They have a happy hour every night so she is able to mingle and meet residents. She is getting into the activities, their exercise programs are far and above. People are out and about and going to activities - they are not just sitting in their rooms. They are very active. The staff are all very nice and on top of things. I would highly recommend them to others looking. It is a little further out so location may not be ideal for some - but it was great for us.

I have found it to be an extremely open community. They have a wonderful wellness director and exercises. The food is good. And they provide good housekeeping services. The staff is very attentive. The apartment is lovely. But the best part is that everybody is welcoming and friendly, and truly sincere - nothing pompous at all.
They all seemed really friendly. Everybody that I have talked to or seen, has been great. My loved seems to enjoy the food. Overall, I would recommend to other families.

This is independent living but there are 2 companies providing whatever is needed for people to remain independent here. So far, maintenance staff has been prompt and competent, housekeeping reliable. Dining director is new and trying out various foods. I fear that there is too much salt and sugar still. The resident friendliness and relationships - is something the residence excels in which is a very important feature. My only wish is that the pool were heated year round. But that is expensive and very few Texans would use it. Being a northerner, and I would. They have a full time activities director and a full time wellness ( physical fitness) director. There are at least 5 exercise classes per day 5-6 days per week.

The Conservatory at North Austin gets 5 stars for all categories. The staff and residents are all friendly. All apartments have good lighting. Nice set up. Six months after moving in my dad continues to tell me regularly how happy he is. He loves his space, the staff and residents are very friendly, and he has the right mix of privacy and social opportunities. I would 100% recommend this community, my dad is very happy there.

The Conservatory was very nice. My father didn't care much for the food, but I thought it was good. It was loud (his apartment was facing MoPac) and he didn't like it. The buildings are clean and the apartments are modern. The keyless entry and alert bracelet are very handy. The staff was friendly and welcoming. There were lots of activities offered too. My father moved out because he felt that he didn't require that level of care and preferred to live on his own.

I toured The Conservatory and I really liked it. It was a late addition because someone at another community mentioned it to me and I hadn't heard of it. We added it to our list and I went and looked at it. My husband went back with me and we had a meal there. It's a really nice facility and the staff we spoke with were great. My dad could've had a two bedroom there for a little bit less than what a one bedroom cost at the community we chose. The Conservatory didn't have assisted living, and I didn't want to have to move my dad if he declines. They have a gorgeous outdoor pool, but they are lacking in the type of medical care my dad gets. It's a huge thing that they were missing. I really feel that the clientele who will do well at The Conservatory, is those who are younger and on more on the active side. Our tour was fine!
I have no complaints. The Conservatory is doing great! They have met if not exceeded all of our expectations. The food is excellent. The staff is fantastic. There are always activities going on. It has been a perfect fit for my family member.

We toured The Conservatory at North Austin and had a great tour experience and first impression. We chose another community because The Conservatory was located too far away.
Out of all of the facilities we looked at, this one was the best and they had a lot offered for the price. I would let others know that it is strictly independent living, they will not help out at all if needed. I would absolutely recommend to others looking.

This was a nice community but just not the place that I wanted to be. Just to many drawbacks and not the vibe that I was looking for. The other community just had more to offer for me.
