Our loved one was there for 1 1/2 months. Fell 13 times. 4 emergency room visits from head injuries while under their care. Numerous other residents fell and had to go to the ER. One broke her hip. My loved one had an obvious thumb fracture that took three days to get c-rayed in their facility. Their doctor never gave results of the x-ray, even after I left several messages. My loved one went two days without her medication because their doctor would not return calls to refill her meds. I had a meeting with two administrators midway to voice my concerns and never got any response afterwards. Showers weren’t being given. Dentures got lost. Clothes from other residents were mixed with my loved one’s. Clothes were lost. Personal pillow was lost. TV shows were always wildlife killing other wildlife for food. Staff in a corner of the room with AirPods in both ears and on a computer, not paying attention to residents. Blood from a fall remained on the floor for three weeks.

Response from The Auberge at Vintage Lake
November 13, 2024We here at the Vintage Lake take pride in caring for our residents and do our best to provide them with care they deserve. We do realize that situations happen that we sometimes may not have control over, we do pride ourselves in keeping our families informed. In the situation regarding your mother's falls, we made sure the family was informed as well as the doctor that the family chose. Although we have a doctor that has patients here, she doesn't work for our community, he is an independent contractor, families chose the PCPs, we can't recommend any physicians, it's the family's choice. The administrative staff makes every effort to reach out to families regarding their loved ones. The health service director had meetings with the POA on numerous occasions as well a one-on-one meeting with the POA and the family. I would like to mention that the community was never informed of any broken from the doctor or from any discharge paperwork. We do apologize for any lost items. There or occasions where items do get lost from time to time which is why we highly recommend all resident's items are labeled. We do appreciate any comments and will ensure that concerns are addressed.

The staff was kind and caring. They made my mother's last days happy. It is difficult being a caregiver. They helped relieve my stress.

June 24, 2024Hi Melanie, Our team aims to provide the highest quality care for every resident, and we are so happy to see that they've delivered at The Auberge at Vintage Lake. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this feedback.
We are very happy at Auberge. It is expensive, [amount removed] per month, but they have very good caregivers and enough caregivers per resident to keep them safe. Activities are spotty, but adequate to keep my wife engaged. Hygiene is very good.

[name removed] is great but is fighting an uphill battle there. They need an online portal for billing and communications. They also need to communicate more on issues, the only time i got a call was when he fell, a basic cya no other times unless i called Liam did i get attention. Clothing and bedding were continually missing. They promised outings but none were ever scheduled. I saw them all the time caring for those who needed it and seemed to have a good relationship with the tenants. Mt dad didnt need the level of care here and so its not the best place for him now.

June 7, 2024Hello Ron, Thank you for your feedback. Our team strives to provide a friendly and warm environment and your feedback helps us improve. If you are willing to discuss your concerns further, please reach out to us at ResidentExperience@frontiermgmt.com.
love the food service. I love the quality and care of the staff. I love knowing that my mother-in-law is safe and well taken care of. I think if they had another person to help with activities and even maybe move one on one between the more impaired patients/ residents that would be good. People who can't really participate in a group activity need more one-on-one. Obviously one person can't be one-on-one with everybody at once, but if they had even one more person devoted to activities to do that that would be wonderful. And probably one thing I've noticed that could be better is that they have activities listed on their calendars, but when we come in, those aren't the activities being done. But I don't know that that really is important as long as something is happening.

November 22, 2023Hi Randy! We're so happy to hear about your positive experience at The Auberge at Vintage Lake. Thank you for the review!
The friendliness of the staff members get 5+ stars and based on the experience we have had so far, we would absolutely recommend The Auberge of Vintage Lake to other families. Our loved one has not been eating for weeks but has always said the food was very good and what I was able to sample was great. We also like the access to shakes, water, snacks, etc. Our loved one does not participate in the activities but from what I observe there is a lot and there are a lot of happy residents and caregivers. We are happy with the cost. Mom is now on hospice but it was a terrific value for us when they managed her insulin!

April 21, 2023Hi Taffy, We are happy to hear our staff are providing a friendly and warm environment for your loved one. Thank you for taking time to share your experience.
The food looked amazing. We picked this community because, everything about this place was right. This place was amazing. They offer three different levels of care; memory care, assisted living and assisted living plus. They took care of my loved one after she transitioned. They showed the upmost respect. Overall, I would recommend to other families.

March 27, 2023Thanks for the great review Judy! We are so happy to hear our team at The Auberge at Vintage Lake has provided such attentive care, and your review is greatly appreciated.
I would tell others that I had a significant problem with medication administration and things being given as ordered. I had to put my loved one in the hospital because breathing treatments were not given as they were supposed to be The place is divided into assisted living and memory care unit. My understanding was the cognitive ability of patients is supposed to be similar among the wards and that was not the case. If your parent can communicate, the spark program is being done and it is a great program, but the cognitive ability of residents are not comparable so not many people can participate. I would not recommend this facility to other families looking based off our experience.

They presented it so wonderfully, but it is not as promised. I receive very little help from management. There is currently a Covid problem, and I don't think it's being handled right. They're not Covid testing people with symptoms if those people protest. They don't have enough staff to provide adequate care. The other day, they had only one caregiver for the entire place. There's nobody to unlock the doors for you when you come to visit. I am not happy.

My score might increase. So far my father is still alive. I. The hospital due to COVID. Never had it u til now. Missed psych meds…here now. Home health nurse sent to wrong room In the beg. Blamed in HOME h nurse. They took her to the wrong room. Parent almost given lethal dose of wrong med. list is long. They need a better monitoring med system in place. Asap. The one in place is dangerous. We are locked in even tho we chose no memory care to avoid Lock Down!!! Severe Locked down facility . Most TV’s, fireplaces, speakers for music DO NOT work other than entrance family members see before signing papers. I’m praying changes are made bc my dad does love his neighbors and some of the caregivers. Needs more structure and accountability with MED TECHS AND DON!!!! Director of Nursing. If your parent needs a lot of meds and insulin I would research other facilities first. The cleanliness rating is for my dads room. The rest of the facility is very clean. But dads room is not.

This was the best decision we made for our loved one. I am very pleased with the care and attention that the residents get from even the workers that are not caregivers. They interact and provide great care to the residents. They are doing a good job of keeping them active and entertained and not just throwing things at them to keep them busy.

The people are caring and conscientious. Everyone on the staff is very sweet and never grumpy. I chose this community because my mom was at there sister property for day care and needed full time care. My mom loves the food and they accommodate her dietary restrictions. I would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

It is never an easy decision to place a loved one in a facility, but Silverado made the transition much easier for our family. It was very evident that this facility is focused on providing professional and compassionate care with lots of activities and positive interaction for the residents. I am so relieved that we have found the perfect place for my mother!

January 28, 2019Thank you for sharing, Dana. We really appreciate your kind words and are grateful we were able to help both your mother and you. The experience you described is exactly what we strive for, and it inspires us to hear that you felt precisely that.
Nice facility. Felt more like a nursing home setting. Did not like the rooms would rather have actual apartment. Prices were high but I do understand memory patients need/require more assistance.

October 18, 2017Hello, thank you for sharing your thoughts. We appreciate your feedback. Community pets and an active, positive, homelike environment are a large part of our philosophy. Many of our rooms are designed to be companion rooms since we have found that many of our residents benefit from having a roommate and are more likely to remain active and social.
Mom and dad are settling in quite well. They are quite comfortable living here. The staff is very warm and friendly. The community provides numerous activities, in and outside the community. My mom and I love that they have a beauty salon. Fridays they have happy hour and next week there is a trip to the Astros game. There is a chicken hatching project planned. They have a very nice dining area that I have been invited to dine in with my parents. So far I have enjoyed coffee when I come to visit my parents, they have hydrations stations provided for residents and guests. Their room could be a little bigger but it was the nicest facility out of all I visited. It is a very clean and well-maintained community. All of the residents wear alert buttons and they have alert buttons on the walls. I feel my parents are in a very safe and caring environment.

July 26, 2017First off, we want to thank you and your family for trusting us to love and care for both your mother and father. We pride ourselves in being industry leaders and are always committed to treating our residents with dignity and respect. We're glad to hear that your parents are thriving at Silverado and are enjoying the daily activities and engagements. We hope you'll swing by the community soon!
When we visited this community we saw the staff and caregivers interacting with the residents. They keep the residents active and encourage them to socialize. They treat the residents with respect. They have a place for the residents to enjoy watching birds. They make sure the residents get the personalized care they deserve. I would have liked to have my loved one live here, unfortunately their insurance would not work with this community. I would recommend taking a look at this community.

We had a very nice tour of this community, it is good community. The staff was super nice, and friendly. The community looked good. Unfortunately they did not have any private room available at the time, and that was a must for my mother. My tour went well overall.
