Communication can be difficult. Not all assistants have been kind and respectful to my Mother-in-law. I have seen a garden but I don't think they have used it to engage residents and include produce into the meals. There is potential there. I don't know all the barriers, but I have seen better.

The facility is understaffed so less attention is paid to those needing less care. They do not provide transportation services as advertised. The we have had several items "disappear". The CNA's are extremely helpful and kind. The menu needs to have more variety and more flavor. One more comment: the staff is slow to follow through on requested items and/or call backs.

Decent upgrades, remodeled facility, good care, and much lower monthly cost than competitors we reviewed. employees were very friendly and tried to assist and make things as good as possible. worst aspect was the food quality and servings, this was my mother's biggest complaint.

Communication is not consistent and we have had a hard time with the nursing staff. The bathroom and bedroom are not cleaned by staff. Towels and linens have gone missing. Staff is friendly and have been kind to our mother. Food is basic cafeteria food. It has been challenging for my mother in law who does not have enough teeth to adequately chew food.

We toured TerraBella Hillsborough during our search for a Memory Care facility for our loved one. I liked this facility. The cleanliness was good. Everyone was very friendly. This facility was nice!
The staff at TerraBella is friendly and comfortable working with the population they serve. The facility had an acrid odor. Convenient location. Overall I would recommend it.

My loved one seems to be very happy there. I'm having problems with the office staff not doing what they need to do regarding the financial component. Nobody seems to know what they're doing regarding statements and bank drafts, which is frustrating. Also they've dropped the ball on coordinating a prescription with her doctor. They've been very friendly and seem to be trying to fix the problem. They just didn't know how. The apartment is small, but it's fine. She likes her roommate and gets along well with her. The activities director, [name removed], is great and works well with the residents. She knows everyone's little quirks, and she does a great job.

They're getting ready to put in all new furniture and add new paint, that should be done by September. Right now it looks a little tired, but the plan is there. I would say I've been very pleased with TerraBella Hillsborough from start to finish.

Our family had an in person tour and this was going to be our first choice because we liked it so much but at the time they did not have any availability
I would tell others that it was just not the care that he needed, he needed more individual care than they were able to provide. They did not provide any activities for him while he was here and he was pretty much just sitting all day. It was not the right fit for us.

The activities at the community are still pretty limited, but we do know they have a couple of things they are able to offer to the residents. The apartments are very nice, and the staff members have just been super friendly and helpful.

Elmcroft has been wonderful, it was a temporary stop for us. Other than my husband being the youngest of the crowd, it is a great place and the people are very nice and very caring. If he were 10-15 years older and he was a better fit, he would be staying here. My husband says that the food here is good and has had no complaints. They do offer a good variety of activities as well. It was hard just because we had a limited experience due to covid but I would absolutely recommend them.

I've been pleased. There were a couple of times where I wish they would have communicated more about my loved one's care.
I would want families to know when looking into Elmcroft of Hillsborough that in terms of memory care, I believe the staff is very polite and caring with the residents. The director of the memory care unit has strong communication skills, pays attention to detail, and has respect for the residents as well as respect for the families. I would recommend this community.

I was very disappointed with our experiences with this community. My father slipped, and hit his head. He was seen by a doctor, and both times they sent him back to the community. I do not think they fit to care for someone with dementia.
