The staff had been very helpful in our preparation for my wife to move into the facility. They were very attentive and helpful on the move in date. They have done everything possible to get her settled and at home. There was a tough transition time, which is expected. Now she is getting more involved and at peace. The only glitch is that the hot water system was down for 6 days. It is now operable.... Read more

It was not a loving environment I witnessed a man getting his diaper changed pushed against a wall in the hallway by someone in the nighttime staff I wound up going every other day to get [name removed] out of there Blasting screeching noise to open the door to the outdoor area So the folks are discouraged to sit outside Staff in charge of activities was too busy doing laundry It looks nice from the outside But it was not what they advertised Meals made in the main kitchen brought in on trays like airplane food Snacks ! Crap ... hard as a rock sugar rice cracker things TV way up high Nighttime staff couldn't be bothered to slide a movie in Not much room in the living room area for gathering No one paying much attention to the desperate inmates yes inmates walking back and forth the hallway all day and night long in despair .. very very sad My [name removed] is now at [name removed] Doesn't look great from the upside Older building Takes Medicaid So loving and kind Home cooked food Really care about their residents All who work their are Alzheimer's trained The nighttime workers at Terra Bella where from an employment agency It was scary I showed up at all different times of the day and stayed often until 830 PM so I got to see and hear what was going on They owed me money as I took [name removed]out before 2 months was up I had to call many times And then drive over there to find out they had no clue 6 weeks later They had to refile something and finally I got reimbursed I got no phone calls back from my calls and e mails is why I drove myself over there to ask Where is my refund ? Anyway It's a difficult job but that place Corporation Is run for profit Not love That is all

TerraBella Hendersonville is like a family environment it does not feel like your typical nursing home. We really like how the living room situation is set up - all the residents can sit in easy chairs just like they could in their own living room. During our loved ones stay the staff were very good to him, and he was a fall risk and they handled him with care. Based on our experience we would recommend them to other families.

I give TerraBella Hendersonville all 5's except for the activities - mom did not engage in any during her stay. It looked like they had plenty to do. She just stayed in her room except for meals, she loved the meals.

The initial presentation was good. On the backend it didn't live up to what they said it would. I would recommend you continue looking at communities, and then go back to TerraBella. The staff communication was good with the family. There would be times that items went missing after being laundered. The bathes were missing more than two or three times. This was disappointing to us. The community was having trouble with staffing, like everyone is. It sometimes felt that the staff they hired was there just for a paycheck, instead of it being their passion.

Do not send your loved one here unless they can totally care for themselves. They do not have enough staff to support the amount of residents that have.

This is a safe clean and affordable community for your loved one. They have activities like karaoke, bingo and more for the residents to do to stay busy.

We liked TerraBella. Something we found odd was that if there were activities or things going on in the facility that was behind it, family would have to come and take their loved ones there, the staff would not take them over there.
This community was fine but it was just not what we were looking for. We were looking for a different environment for our loved one. The dinning room was like a school dining room. It wasn't bad just not as nice as what we were looking for. Also did not have individual rooms for the residents.
The staff is polite. The services are good. My loved one had a short stay here.

I would tell others to choose another community for your loved one. During the virtual tour we were told that the community offered, and it was a lie and these are not offered. The sales team told us that the residents would be able to choose from options on a menu, and that there were 2 chefs. It turns out there are staff members that run the kitchen and then run out of food 90% of the time for the residents. We were told there was a fulltime activities director, and once my loved one moved in there was not a director. It took almost 2 months before one was brought in for the residents. I have found that some staff have been rude to my loved one, I have heard this during phone call conversations.

We are very happy here. Our loved one has been able to be settled into the community nicely. They have been very friendly from the caregivers and the head of departments and on down. The community is good at communication with the families and answering questions.

It’s difficult to give an accurate reading since Covid is so inconvenient. However, I have to say that they are making every effort to make visitation from outside as convenient as possible. They have the patience of Job!

so far so good, potentially still too expensive, but they are willing to work on negotiating rates to enable moms money to last longer, so i like that, and they are close. definately considering

This seemed like a nice community when I visited. I had a short visit with the marketing person and they seemed to be concerned about the residents. This community did not seem appropriate for my friend as they were not ready for memory care. I know someone who has a loved one here and they seem to like it.

The community has doing fine with the care. I like the home feeling that is there. It is pretty cozy and comfortable for my aunt. She eats pretty well with what they are making for the residents. All is fine for my aunt here.

When we toured the Carillon Assisted Living Of Hendersonville, they did not have any space available. It was a very nice place and we liked it a lot, the staff was very friendly.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
