The staff had been very helpful in our preparation for my wife to move into the facility. They were very attentive and helpful on the move in date. They have done everything possible to get her settled and at home. There was a tough transition time, which is expected. Now she is getting more involved and at peace. The only glitch is that the hot water system was down for 6 days. It is now operable.... Read more

I would never recommend them to anyone. Unless a miracle has happened since May of this year, they are a subpar facility. You can check the state licensing to see their rating and their inspections and their violations. When MOM first went there, it was good, but there were some major staff changes for whatever reason and it became one of those facilities that you hear horror stories about. I'm not exaggerating .I don't know what your policies are, but I would even pull them off of your website until They reach a higher licensing rating and have been able to keep it there for over a year. A much higher rating that is.

Mom was there from [date removed]She fell just after breakfast & I discovered her on the floor at 5:20 pm after dinner. This resulted in a hospital stay, several weeks rehab. Although I spoke with the director a week after the fall, nothing had been done to change the lack of a method to check on residents periodically. I reported to the State to initiate an investigation which was completed in late Oct early Nov. Mom did not return to Terra Bella. Not many days after Mom entered, the head Nurse left & only a " corporate RN" came periodically. Mom was Never evaluated for PT, OT & SPEECH. Activity director was never hired while she was a resident. Family volunteers came in to do activities & some staff did activities with residents. Communication with director was very difficult. I would be sure to call the State to see when last inspection was atvTerra Bella and if citations & deficiencies are corrected.

Terra Bella is a very good and caring place. Beautiful setting. The staff went out of their way to help a sometimes difficult tenant. When we got palliative care the NP was a game changer with my MIL's care. She was so good for her. Wished we had started it much sooner. My MIL did not participate in much because she was embarrassed with how she looked. Had no teeth or dentures and almost deaf. She was so loud and I'm sure she disturbed others.

TerraBella was a 4-star facility when our mother moved in. As of Oct. 2023, state rating was down to a 1 star! July 2024, 0 stars with pending investigations by the state/county. Unfortunately, pictures cannot be uploaded. Mother was over medicated, broken hip, 80% of clothes were missing3rd time) despite labels; pillows, bedspread, bedding missing again even with name written in 6-8" lettering. Wheelchair stolen by another patient & so much more. Call county Ombudsman if ANY issues even small AND report to State. Better safe than sorry. ALWAYS CHECK STATE RATINGS! We moved our mother the first of May. [removed] FYI: your loved one or yourself if POA has the right to ask for a copy of their records in its entirety at any time. Stand & wait as they copy. I had to keep asking for the other sections too. And if you are unaware look into the MOST form giving loved ones more control of their bodies. DNR doesn't eliminate tubes/life support.

When it comes to the activities it is difficult to estimate since dad never really settled due to his relentless sundown syndrome. We also cannot comment on the value for cost as we have nothing to compare it to. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families

My loved one is currently a resident at TerraBella Hendersonville and overall the experience has not been very good. The place is clean, but every time that we visit our loved one his pull up is wet and his clothes are dirty. The care is minimal. I am not impressed with the director, at all. As for the aide staff, some are friendly and helpful. If family is on top of things, frequent visits, this will help. Families need memory care, but the care is very minimal! The food, I can't speak to that. But in the 2.5 months of residing there, our loved one has lost a considerable amount of weight. So, I'm not sure.

The staff are good. They know the residents by name as well as the family that visit. I chose this location due to a good ratio of staff to residents. Housekeeping is good. Communication with family is driven by the family need. Move in was a smooth process. Meals are good. Suggestion: label names on your loved one's laundry! I would recommend TerraBella to others.

It has been a positive experience, the staff care a lot. The facility is close to my house, they have very large clean rooms and it does not smell.

The property is nice and easy to find. The studio is big enough for one person. Housekeeping does a very good job keeping the rooms clean. All The staff/employees are friendly and are approachable. The care/attention given to my dad is respectful. When there is an issue, the staff calls immediately. Kudos to all the staff for keeping up with and attending to the needs of their residents, even though Additional floor help is needed. I know though administration is trying very hard to resolve this difficult issue. I'm glad this facility was available when I needed it.

We toured TerraBella Hendersonville during our search for a Memory Care facility for our loved one. We had a good tour. This facility was very good! The cleanliness and friendliness were good. [name removed] was wonderful!
TerraBella Hendersonville was short staffed, so the facility could have been cleaner, but they did the best the could. I thought it was overpriced. The staff very friendly and caring. Meals were decent, my mom always ate some of hers. She always said it was too much. Many emptied their plate. I can't speak to activities - my mom did none.
Read MoreThe community is beautiful. Everyone is kind and friendly here. I have already told friends, doctors, and more about our experience. I will continue to recommend the community to others for their loved ones. This was a wonderful experience for us! The staff didn't want our loved one to go home, as they really cared for her like family.

The place was smaller so the ratio of staff to residents was appealing to us. Plus, it was less expensive. They are going through a remodel now and I would suggest they buy more towels. There is a shortage. The place hires employees. Not contractors. That is good. However almost all the management has changed since December. Currently, they are having growing pains. The staff is friendly. They do offer activities. Housekeeping is poor. I have to keep at them to clean. Laundry is a crisp shoot of getting your own stuff back. I would not recommend them at this time until they get their act together.

They are going through remodeling. They were very friendly. My loved one liked the staff really well, and they were really nice. They treated my loved one very well. The follow-through, and communication was horrible. They need to improve on the communication. I hope to see changes within the community.

We had a positive tour experience with TerraBella Hendersonville. This was actually a facility we were very much so considering. It is bigger so it does not have that same homey feeling you get when you walk into a smaller facility. That ultimately was the reason we went with another place.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
