Sweetbriar Villa

Our experience with Sweetbriar Villa has been positive from the very beginning. We look at several facilities before choosing Sweetbriar. It is a smaller facility, therefore we believe my father is getting more attention than he would in a larger facility. The building is clean and orderly, the food is good and servings plentiful, and the grounds are beautifully kept. Everyone we have come in contact with there has been friendly and extremely helpful. It is convenient for us since it is only a couple blocks from our home. We highly recommend this facility to anyone wishing a home-like environment for their loved one

I would recommend this community. The staff are compassionate and care about my loved that is there.

Clean, friendly, caring, well-run. Sweetbriar has been very diligent about resident health and well-being throughout the pandemic and wildfire evacuation. I wish that there were more staff and less turnover, but I realize what a hard industry this is to work in. The expense is also a concern. But I have been inside many facilities and this one is intimate and operates with an attitude of saying “yes” to residents whenever possible. The homey atmosphere and careful, personable management are big assets, as is the warmth of the staff.

The staff at Sweetbriar Villa is very caring and loving. The facility is a good size, 30-40 residents, so everyone knows each other. It is located in a quiet, pretty neighborhood. The cost is comparable to other facilities in Eugene/Springfield.

My mother has been here for over a year,She thinks it is her own home as she tells me to move a picture on the wall or what not. Staff is always very caring and thoughtful to her and all.

My Mom has lived at Sweetbriar Villa for 8 months. All the staff has been very accommodating and kind to her. They seem to be really good at taking each individual just where they are and doing their best to meet the needs. Dementia is a hard stage in life but they do it so well. I feel I can call or email anytime I have any type of concern and get the results I am looking for. Administrative staff is stellar as well. Sweetbriar has definitely become our Moms "Home" Also at this time in life, food becomes such an important part of the day. The kitchen folks go out of their way to meet requests and prepare interesting, good meals.

My dad is spoiled rotten by the staff there. They are very attentive, and any issues I or my siblings have is quickly addressed. Mom was given extra special attention and care while in her final weeks.

They take exceptional care of my mom who is wheelchair bound. They have numerous activities to keep the residence entertained. Games, beauty days, shopping trips, rides into the county, movies, crafts and they encourage residents to share their ideas. Mom called me 4-5 times a day before she moved in their and I hear from her once a day.

We have been at Sweetbriar for several years. We have seen many changes and it is the place I can rest assured my mom is now safe and well cared for. The staff is getting better and better. I have been told by hospital staff and DR's (when she needed to go a couple times) that wherever she is staying is giving very good care.

They were wonderful!! Especially as my aunt was ill and passed away. My uncle still lives here and the staff has treated him so good and supported him after his loss (married 70+ years). I (and my family) are so grateful for Sweetbriar and staff

My wife's great uncle and aunt both lived in this facility. Awesome care for both. Appreciate the care and hard work they do.

They were very welcoming and provided complete information. However, we won't be selecting Sweetbriar due to the fact that even in assisted living residents must share a shower. Privacy is a huge concern for our loved one so that wouldn't be acceptable to her. Otherwise the facility is small and warm and has a community feel about it.

I toured Sweetbriar Villa. I found that the community was nice and clean, but it felt too cramped, and I thought that a wheelchair would have a hard time fitting comfortably in the halls and doorways. The place just wasn’t as open and bright as what I was hoping for.

I toured Sweetbriar while looking for options for my mother. At the time, we were looking for assisted living, and found Sweetbriar to be very nice. It was a little bit smaller than some other places we looked though. Soon after touring, we found that my mother needed memory care, so even though Sweetbriar was a lovely community, we chose another place that would better suit our needs.

The bedrooms a bit small and dreary, but the rest of the facility is charming. Lovely gardens. I get the feeling the staff there cares very much. Menu looked adequate but not exciting. Weekly scenic drives. Doctors appointment transport included.

Was nice, but wasn't impressed with area for the memory care area. Was extremely small and there wasn't an outdoor area for memory care resident to be able to just go enjoy. The areas that were available weren't enclosed for safety.Also was not informed that the memory care was full when we spoke about our needs, before the your.

This community has staff that are on top of things and provide a very clean happy atmosphere. The staff are caring and nice, they help clean my mother-in-law's room and other necessities. The food seems fine. There are activities like bible class and exercising. So far my mother-in-law is doing good and our experience has been very great so I would recommend this community.
