Very good/attentive staff, [name removed] is the facility director and she is great. They have a lot of amenities, unfortunately, I am 63 & still working, so I could not take advantage of many. My apartment was a very good size, I am only one person so it was the perfect size for me. They do have washers and dryers in the units which I miss! It is expensive, but they have so much to offer. I would highly recommend Summit at Mill Hill!... Read more

Summit at Mill Hill has been an amazing experience for our parents. They have said countless times, "I Love it Here !!" The amenities are a positive contribution to the quality of their lives., however, it's the caring of the staff and community that make this an outstanding experience. It is a welcomed reassurance for our family, to know Mom and Dad are aging in a safe, caring ,place they enjoy !

I searched from Saratoga Springs, NY to NYC, NJ, and DC and concluded that Summit at Mill Hill had the most for the cost. The 2 bedroom apartment is larger than others I have seen and it has been just enough space for all of my stuff. I have a cat as do others and some folks have dogs. The small breakfast is great every day. The staff are wonderful and they take care of me even when I ask for special stuff. The heated indoor pool with hot tub and sauna are great with the aquatic aerobics programs. There is a large theatre for movies and rooms for art, games and a library. They bring in doctors, PT, OT and ST. We have a Wednesday happy hour and a Saturday Night Live party among many other activities. The van service takes us shopping and to medical appointments. I don't think you could find anyplace better on the East Coast!

Life is as active as you want it to be here at Summit at Mill Hill. There are Summit sponsored activities and/or speakers nearly every day. When there isn't one, the community has developed our own activities. If you want privacy, no one will bother you if you choose to stay in your apartment. The activities include everythng from spiritual to exercises in our gym or pool, to speakers. Yoga and water aerobics. Yoga/mindfullness breathing exercises and balance classes. Need therapy? They come right to your door and are top notch. We have full kitchens, albeit on the small size, for those of us who like yo cook. And the staff, well there aren't enough words to say how terrific and thoughtful and helpful they are.

They were really awesome with us regarding our loved ones health, they always checked on her and communicated back to us if anything changed. Due to covid they had to delivered to food to their rooms, they would bring food about every other day. They really made sure they had everything they needed. While she was there they didn't have activitues because of covid, but when we took her out they started to slowly bring them back.

A Place for Mom has scored Summit at Mill Hill 8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
