The overall experience is a 5 it is great. The grounds and common area are well maintained and we have a housekeeper (private) so our home is a 5. Friendliness is wonderful. We know everyone in the neighborhood and have frequent times together. Food is only in our restaurant which is open to the public. We have our own chef and the food is excellent, again a 5. Activities are great. We have 2 individuals with the job of planning activities for us This is a 5. Value for the Money to me is a 5 but honestly I am not on a fixed income so am not a good judge of this. We have apartments and 2 bedroom 2 bath cottages available at this time. The garden homes (2,000 sq ft + with 2 1/2 car garages) have a multi year waiting list. This is not a place one goes to sit and watch TV. Everyone is active and if anyone needs help they receive it.... Read more

St. Leonard is such a wonderful place—gorgeous grounds, lots of open spaces and flowers. More importantly, the employees are happy to serve everyone and go out of their way to make you feel like family. A++ experience!

Many residents unhappy with leadership, care, facility appearance, security. This facility has an exterior that is unappealing. Windows in one building don't have coverings and you can see the mess inside. Some windows have blinds that are hanging crooked, appear broken, or missing. Many blinds are tightly closed in buildings with resident occupancy and residents can't see out. One building entrance has deteriorating steps. Another building entrance has torn and faded awning covering. Inside furniture is old and appears to possibly be stained on seats. Patio furniture is old and unkempt. Multiple outside areas are infiltrated with weeds, dandelions, and thistle a few feet tall. If the exterior care is this poor imagine the care inside the building. Some residents state they are afraid to speak up for fear of repercussions. Not a place I'd recommend knowing multiple people who live here and aren't happy.

Would not recommend this place for care. Staff tells you what you want to hear to get you here. Costs are high and services are low. Turnover of employees is constant. Feedback from employees is overall unhappy. Decor and amenities are old and dated.

Had my dad in here for 4 days for respite care. He had a peg tube. In 4 days time my Dad became severely dehydrated, septic & in kidney failure. Now in the ICU hooked up to a ventilator. Friends checked in on him & all attempts to contact nursing staff went unanswered . All calls to Director of Nurses, ignored. Do not leave your loved one here!!

I cannot recommend St. Leonard any higher—in my book, they are an A++ … and I’m very particular when it comes to finding my elderly dad a safe place to live. Their staff is extremely patient and understanding of his many health issues, they keep him safe and clean, plus they offer him visually appealing food that he actually enjoys. Also, the grounds are very well-maintained, and the chapel is very pretty, too. Thanks to all of you for providing such excellent care to each of your residents. Be blessed—we appreciate you all!

The health care center has gone downhill since going to "agency:. Revolving door of people. We do my mom"s laundry. Since the "agency: came in she can go thru 3 sets of clothes. We take them to the bathroom it appears only when the clothes are urinated in. I wonder, what if it was their Mom?

Pandemic is clearly showing how POOR management is at this facility. Mental health issues are enormous now. Physical care is nothing exceptional, and the mental health issues are not being addressed. Nursing admin. office sitters get high wages but don't interact with residents. Aides and floor nurses are treated like slave labor. Only advocates for residents get results. These people are not focused on those PAYING to live a good life here. Focused on $$ and how they can better themselves. God Bless those people that are stuck here. Not a happy, well run place to be.

My father was in the nursing care facility. I wish I could give it a zero. Though there were a few caring staff, most did not. He would wait for hours when he rang the bell for help. If we were there we went looking for help, sometimes to no avail. I saw staff mistreat residents and reported it. We got the ombudsmen involved. Still no change. They once forgot to put him to bed and left him in his chair all night. There are too little staff for the amount of patients. Unfortunately, my father died after a fall that was poorly handled by the staff. He was removed to hospice and it was like heaven to him. Do not send your love ones here. Plus we found out it is incredibly expensive compared to much better ranked nursing homes. My father would not leave because it was Catholic. Check its ratings. They are mediocre. I cry thinking that he was there.

We couldn’t have been more thankful for what was done for our Mother by the staff at St Leonard’s . She felt safe, well cared for, and actually unconditionally loved. They took care of her spiritually, physically, mentally and medically. The accommodations are just beautiful. The food was varied and healthy. Great staff trying to keep them entertained and busy. Any one that wants their loved one taken care of this is the place.

Decor is old. Old fashioned call bell system. Menu was high in carbs. Entree at dinner on day of our visit was creamed chipped beef. Activity schedule was minimal., not very interesting. Staff to patient ratio seemed too big. Rooms were adequate in size.

It is with great sadness that I am writing this review but feel I owe it to others who are searching for rehab facilities. My mom was in St Leonard's rehab and I honestly cannot say one good thing and would never recommend this facility. There was not one employee that was in the right seat as far as employment. The staff did not care and was obvious they were there for only the paycheck. My mom was not mobile and would have to wait extended periods of time for bathroom help and every day and night was short staffed. She was scared to say anything for fear of mistreatment. The food was horrible and the room was dirty. This was an absolute horrible experience for my mom and our entire family. It is worth your time to read reviews and carefully check out facilities.

Beautiful property! We were disappointed that the appointment we scheduled through the A Place For Mom site did not actually reach anyone at St Leonard therefore, they were not prepared to show us any living spaces. It appeared as though the "sales" personnel were insulated from the community. We were not sure we agree with the "buy-in" aspect of their pricing.
