The Wellington at Dayton

Overall, Wellington has been good for mom. She has had some challenges fitting in with the residents but the staff has been good to her. She is very happy with her spacious 2 bedroom apartment and the amenities it offers.

When my moms health declined and we needed to find a facility for her to stay in, [name removed] was very helpful in answering all our questions and making us feel confident that the Wellington was the right place for her. [name removed] has worked with us now to not only find a unit in memory care for my mom but also to help us transition her into independent living with my dad. She has been very helpful, responsive, and accommodating throughout the process. It is a hard decision to make when it becomes time for your parents to move out of the home they’ve lived in for almost 40 years and everything about our experience at the Wellington has made us realize this was the right and best decision we made. The staff at the Wellington is wonderful and the activities are fun! The meals are mostly good! I really like it here!

Faculty & staff are helpful. DO NOT hire True Care for assistance, whatever you do.

The Wellington at Dayton is a nice facility with very caring people. We had some issues using the nurses for rx care. Getting the wrong pills at times. We stopped using that and handle it ourselves I would recommend them to others - but not the nursing for RX help.

My mom moved in July and is so happy with her decision. She likes the residents as well as the accommodations like meals and housekeeping. My family and I are happy that she is in a safe environment that has resources for her.

We couldn't be happier with dad being there in memory care. The staff treat us like family. Ever need dad needs is met with kindness a professional care. He is happy there!!! Thank you so much for leading us there in such a difficult time. The staff and facility make it so easy to get through the process. They guide you thru it. Give you a book to understand dementia. The memory care dad is in are so respectful of his condition. They are definitely on top of his health. He is 92 yrs old and and the keep him motivated. He has physical therapy every week and does so good. Dad thinks his physical therapist is his friend. And looks forward to seeing him. The facility has taken all the stress from us and we know he is being taken care of. The activities are good and they pull everyone together. I am so appreciative.

For as expensive lack of workers, not always a nurse on duty, did not do activities if no visitor's present, and an aide came to work wearing a t-shirt under her smock that she took off, that said [profanity removed] in BOLD LETTERS! I think that was unexceptable!

From our first meeting with the agent which was very pleasant and very friendly, our experience has and is outstanding. The residents are friendly and extends an invitation to join them at mealtime. Staff is so cordial, warm and hospitable, they also offer their services or assistance. Plenty of activities to keep one active and lots of entertainment. The Wellington at Dayton is the place!

The staff were all super friendly. It was very clean/no weird smells. Pet friendly was a big part of the decision. We spoke to many residents at random and they all said they liked living there. Mom is well settled now and is happier than she's been in years.

The Wellington food seems pretty good and good alternative options if you do not like what's on the menu. I think the communication with the family has been good. The move in process was not as beneficial as I thought it would be. They do not have staffing to help you move anything, but apparently that is normal. They can provide some carts to move from the bottom floor to the third floor elevator. I would recommend the facility because the staff are nice and friendly. The residents all seem to be happy. The facility is clean and the activities seem to be plentiful.

The Wellington had all the amenities we were looking for. The apartment is spacious and you have your own laundry facilities. The staff are friendly and helpful. Socially there are many activities in which to choose to participate. We are very happy we chose the Wellington and would highly recommend it for your senior living.

My 90-year-old mom was living very independently in her own house but was not as able to keep things up. We worried about her safety, her meals and her solitude as we did not live close by. She is still pretty independent and does not need help with dressing or eating, so an independent-living situation seemed ideal. The Wellington impressed us with everyone's friendliness and the many activities. Food is good with lots of variety. Having help now and then with tv technology and furniture moving is great. She is still adjusting but we all feel this is a good place. She enjoys showing it off and having family over eat with her. And I am relieved and comfortable with her there.

pleasant experienced,. the staff is friendly. my mother doesn't have any complaints about the food would like to see a bigger selection. facility is clean and the caretakers do a good job cleaning the rooms. overall good experience.

I moved my mom to The Wellington when she was no longer able to care for herself at home. It has been great for her. I feel so much relief that she has help when she needs it. Her meds are delivered to her and she has healthy meals to eat. There is entertainment available. There is a doctor who travels to The Wellington and that has been very convenient. Also [name removed], the hairdresser is available in the building when needed. She has been awesome. Thank you to everyone at The Wellington!

Everyone is friendly. Community is attractive and well kept. The apartments are larger than most of the apartments in the area, and the services provided in the independent living help residents stay independent longer. The courtyard and fun summer activities outside set this community apart.

Help us at a time when time was of the essence.everything went smoothly.my moms only been there a couple weeks but I think she really likes it.she raves about the food! She excited about the activities.

My parents moved into the Wellington in May and absolutely love it! They have a 2 bed room apartment with a beautiful porch and they feel like “they live on a farm” with the view of the property next door. They have raved about the staff and the activities they are involved in. I work in Assisted Living at another facility and love the fact that I am able to whole heartily recommend the Wellington to families looking for a facility when I am unable to help them. I would and have spoken highly of The Wellington at Dayton. The staff is so attentive to my dad. Everything is always clean and orderly. I visit often. The move in process was very easy. I feel the communications with the staff is great. They make you feel like family. They are always available for questions. The food is always balanced and healthy. The ladies that are patients seem happy. I am so happy that my Dad is there. I know all of his needs are met with kindness and compassion. I know he could not get better care anywhere else. They are so kind and catering to him. We are very satisfied.

Mom really likes the size and space of her apartment. I feel Mom is very safe in her independent living apartment. She really likes when people/ groups come to sing. I understand it is very hard at this time, but I would like to see them retain their employees. It seems there is a high turnover. Also, Mom says her food is often cold when she gets it. Overall, I would recommend The Wellington. It is a nice place to live, and both my mom and I are pleased with it.
