Silverado The Huntington

My mother has been living at this amazing community now for 3 months. During which time she went from sleeping 12-15 hours a day with very little up time and very few outings, to getting up, engaging with activities and getting 3 healthy meals a day. The caregivers, administrators and medical staff are all loving kind and extend any help to the family needs for individual patient care. My mother has been seen by instaff medical team, had her hair done and reaping the benefits of a scheduled, loving environment. She has been carefully monitored for her disease process, and just recently we celebrated a family thanksgiving feast with family and community members that was a gloriously positive experience for myself and my daughter. I highly recommend this facility for top notch cleanliness, care, and friendly and informative caregivers. I am always greeted with a smile and hug when I come, and this makes for a great influence on my mother as she sees she is living in a home full of love and care. Kudos to all who make my moms life full of quality and activity, vs. spending her time in bed sleeping at home. Thank you for all your love and kindness, directing my mom to be the best version of herself as she can be given the degenerative progressive disease she has.

My mother was only at this community for a short period of time but while she was there I was pleased with the care that she had received. The staff where always so kind to not only her but our entire family and I was comfortable with the care she was receiving. Overall it was a pleasant experience and I would recommend it to anyone.

We toured this community for the care. We liked the staff who were caring and attentive. We were not able to stay in this community due to special needs for my wife's care. We did like the community for a time period. We would highly recommend this community for the good care for another family.

I had a very good tour a while back of Silverado The Huntington. The tour guide was friendly and helpful. I was impressed with the approach they have to memory care. The facility was very clean, but the resident's rooms were small. I wasn't sure that my Mom being an introvert would fit well with Silverado's emphasis on social interaction. It was also quite expensive.

It's hard to believe I will find a more impressive place. Excellent tour. I was very impressed by the over-all tone of the facility and staff.

Mom still hasn't moved into The Huntington. There are still no openings. She has moved from Silverado Beverly Place to Silverado Sierra Vista in Azusa. We like Sierra Vista a lot and so does she. We were lucky to have her transferred to Sierra Vista, which is closer for all family members to see her more often. The Beverly Place Fairfax/Melrose location of L.A. was not convenient for anyone. The care at the Silverados is very good and they have "brought mom back" from being a zombie to more of a functioning person who needs lots of care. The facilities are very nice and the staff is wonderful. All staff members are responsive to our questions or concerns. We are kept informed about mom's condition and her needs. We have meals with mom, with no additional charge. We don't do this very often but it's a nice benefit for us to know we can do this when we arrive to see her. It helps us to see how she is eating too. The Silverados are not inexpensive, but they are giving mom a better value than other places mom had to endure, because of the philosophy and training of Silverado, and the loving care provided by the Silverado staff. Fortunately, mom has long term care insurance which covers the cost for her to live at a Silverado Memory Care Community.

Wow, I can't say enough good things about this place! The cost is high, but you definitely get what you pay for - even more than 24 hr care! They are very well-staffed, and for memory care, that is extremely important! We mainly chose Silverado because they are exclusively memory care. The staff is aware of the resident's needs, and go above and beyond to attend to them! They will stay up with them at night, and let the resident's wander around if they want to (in a safe environment, of course). Also, they gave us material to read to help with the transition process, which was extremely helpful! My advice would be to consider that a shared room is not what you think. The resident's are only in their rooms to sleep. We are very very happy with this decision!

Visited on August 8....Beautifully restored historic home. There were dogs, children and visitors. It seemed to be vibrant compared to other memory centers previously visited. A little pricier, but it maybe worth it. I liked that they specialize in memory care.
