I was visiting a friend during dinner when one of the residents became upset with another resident. They got to arguing in the dining room. I was impressed of how quick the staff responded on distracting them and containing the situation. I was waiting for a full food fight to blow out. I was amazed at how well they work together and knew what to do. The Kitchen staff even came out to assist. The housekeeper already knew what to do bringing his mop and broom incase of a spill. Every employee was smiling through the whole ordeal. I myself was about to hide under the table. When I told the staff they looked and laughed at me shanking their heads telling me that they enjoy there job no matter how crazy it gets.

I received a phone call about my father falling and I was out of town. He is a high fall risk. It did not surprise me that he had fallen due to this. I was not as concerned as I should of been. When the offer was made to send him out to hospital for further evaluation. I did not take it seriously due to he always falls. The Nurse on duty was very understanding of my situation and encourage the hospital visit. She stated that the facility policy when sending someone out is to call over to the hospital and give a report. If the Hospital had any questions they would call over to the facility or me. That staff would call over there and check for updates on his progress and keep me updated as well. I was so grateful for her support and glad I sent him over for he did need further medical attention. I am so glad the staff was on top of things. I have no clue what I what I would of done without them.

When visiting my love one I just want to comment how well I am treated during the visits by staff. When walking in the door it is a very clean and positive atmosphere. They keep me informed of how she is doing and anything she may need. Staff is always smiling and interacting with all the resident. My mother and her friends love the activities. When visiting they are always in an activity and joking with the staff. The resident's are always talking about how good the food is. I noticed that even the activity director serves home made cooking with her activities that she has cooked herself. The Administration is always on the floor and very involved with the residents. Which you do not see in most facilities. I love that my mother is in an environment that I feel comfortable with and it eases my mind when I am not there with her. I really appreciate the staff and what they do at the facility. I know they have a difficult and busy job.

My loved one was a high fall risk. The staff at R&P at Forest were unable/unwilling to keep an eye on him to prevent falls. He went to the emergency room with head injuries multiple times during his short stay there. This facility is set up more like an assisted living facility, which was not a good fit for most patients with dementia. I do not recommend this facility if your loved one is not very independent.

I thought the community looked like they may be understaffed and my mom would not get the care she needed in her condition. Immediately was impressed with [facility removed], and I was right in choosing them for her care.
The residents need more activities, to stimulate their minds. They hired a new activities director, so hopefully the activites improve. The food seems to be edible, which seems to be hot and well balanced. It is very expensive. They treat my loved one, with respect, an dthe people seem to be nice. Also, I am greeted whenever I enter the facility, which is nice.

They are understaffed which is the reason we gave them some lower ratings, it was difficult to find the staff when you needed them. However everything there was very kind and really did try their best.
