We were looking for place for our Mother to live near us. After touring a fair amount of facilities in Southern suburbs, we had almost give up. Then my sister and I found Royal Estates. Security is not good. Sometimes when I come, especially on the weekends, no one is at the front desk. Anybody can walk in. I also don't like the fact that they don't check my Mom's room door.

The activity department is such a beautiful situation to provide for the seniors it keeps them up and going and the director is outstanding she interacts with them with love and treat them as if their apart of her family I believe her name is [name removed] such a good lady.

I am happy with the care services. They have a new food service. We picked this community, because it was recommended by my Podiatrist. They are good with following through with things., and the communication is good.

My loved one loves the food, and they just hired a new chef. The activites are great and they recently added a Happy Hour. I picked this community because of the location. It has been nothing but great things. The rennovations are reaaly good, and myloved one has a new apartment. I would recommend to other families.

I was not at all impressed by my tour at Royal Estates. The look of the facility was so depressing, it was to have been a converted hotel/motel. It also smelled awful. During the tour we passed a man who had clearly pooped his pants and there was no staffing tending to him, he was just sitting there in it. What bothered me the most was the person who was showing me around did not react to what I was witnessing. She did not make it personal at all, it was more of a "here is our facility" and that was it. It was honestly and nightmare.
Overall it has been a good experience with the Hanover Place. It took a while to get the unit we wanted but we got it sorted out, The staff members were very friendly and everything has gone well with them so far.
