My family member was a resident at the Promenade at Blue Hill. The Promenade is a small facility. The doors are locked and a code is needed to get through them, which prevents residents from being able to wander out. The people who work there are caring and nice to residents. The food is good and residents’ food preferences are accommodated. There are activities all day and musical guests come in to entertain. There is a nurse on duty during the day, and a doctor who visits regularly. In general, residents are well cared for. That said, there are some negatives. There is a problem with theft of residents’ belongings, and management is aware of it and does nothing about it. The only time families hear from the director is once a year to ask for more money (there are increases in costs every year). The rooms are very basic, with old furniture, and cleaning is mediocre at best. The Promenade at Blue Hill is therefore mostly good, with some negative aspects.... Read more

They do a lot of great activities, not sure how much individual attention is paid to room upkeep. Overall I would recommend Promenade at Blue Hill to others.

In NY they have a program in place we are currently 3 on the list that they give us money towards the monthly bill because in there eyes they want our money to last longer so it's actually less they pay in the long run depending on how long the person lives. Based on the experience

Promenade at Blue Hill has a small, wonderful environment inside as well as beautiful grounds. My mom is so very happy here - unlike [facility name removed] where she was at previously. ' She has a nice large corner room. There are smaller ones but as she sometimes uses a wheelchair I thought having more space to move around would cut down on falls or accidents. It's a little pricey compared to the former facility she was in, but it's worth it.

I would want to be placed here at Promenade with the same owners and staff. The staff is warm is welcoming from the secretary to the front to the owner. I feel very comfortable visiting my Mom here. They are the best I have seen so far medically with what is going on with their residents. She enjoys the dining experience and eating with other residents. They push hydration, which is very important. She also enjoys the food.

We chose Promenade at Blue hill because the value that they are providing for the care as well as the amazing staff. The staff members are extremely communicative to us as far as her care goes, they transitioned her very well to the facility, and they have been very attentive to her needs. They treat her like a family member and my mother really enjoys being here. It is a small enough facility to where she does not get lost and it is all on one level. Since it is all one level it feels like one big family rather than isolating other residents based on their care needs. It is a very warm and friendly environment and I felt comfortable leaving my mom in their care. It has given me peace of mind and I would absolutely recommend them to others looking.

Our loved one was there for respite care so it was only for [dates removed], and we were very happy with them. The staff were very communicative and friendly. We would definitely recommend this community to others.

Our family had an in person tour and we liked that it was a smaller community, everyone seemed to know each other. The director there [name removed] he was dynamite. He was very forth coming, and honest but the reason we did not choose Promenade was because there were no other males there.
Our family had an in person tour and there were definitely some positive things - it is very cozy, right when you walk in they have a little community center gazebo and the people are really nice. However it is a little bit older and we wanted a smaller community especially since we were looking during the height of covid
We are so happy with this community, and anytime we are able to go and visit we have not noticed anything at all that was questionable or concerning in anyway. Everyone there is very attentive and very kind. When it comes to the activities, they have a lot to offer for the residents to participate in.

Pre COVID we had no problems at all, the location is very close to home so we could visit all the time. The staff has been very nice, they have all been very welcoming. Since COVID it is not very accessible at all. They allow window visits but the communication is very very optimal. They also allow zoom calls but they are restricted and are only set up at certain times. This community is very very clean, we would give them a high value. Once again the staff members are very nice, but at times there was just not enough of the to watch over the residents. And at times our loved one would not receive the help they needed because of it.

Very clean, homey feel, cute set up doesn't feel like a facility, friendly staff, cute dinning room and lots of relaxing areas. Many daily activities. Studio room quite small but luxory room more suitable.

This was a very nice facility. The touring supervisor was very accommodating to our time. We arrived early and she spent all the time we needed, with us. Though we liked this program and facility very much, it was a little high in price and the fact that the monthly rates are guaranteed to go up by 3-5% every year was a discouraging factor for us. That is why I gave it 4 stars. If money were not really an issue, I would have given it five stars.

The tour we took at Promenade at Blue Hill was a good tour. It was a clean community and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. They answered all of the questions we had regarding the care that we could expect to receive. We chose another community that focused primarily on memory care.

I had a very nice tour of this community. It is a nice facility went a kind staff. The tour went well. The community looked clean, but it was a bit smaller than I would have liked for my mother. My tour guide was informative, and my questions were answered. It was a nice experience, but I did find another community that suited our needs better.

We are very happy to find a community like this that is clean and well taken care of. The activities are great for my dad. The community is clean and my father is very happy with the variety of meals that are offered. His room is nice for the size. We are happy with the care that he is receiving and recommend this community to others.

This is a outstanding community for my father. The staff is just great. My father is happy with the food. He is active in some of the activities. We are happy that this community is only one floor. This is a small community that feels like home. Alot of attentive is given here. i highly recommend the excellent care here and the great value to other families.
