One year later, I am absolutely convinced I made the correct decision. PG exudes a welcoming and friendly vibe, which I immediately noticed when I first stepped foot in the place. My mother is very happy there. Any issues were dealt with in an appropriate and caring manner ( a time when she wasn't getting her mail; her call button disappeared from a tray at the front desk; her doctor put her on a pureed diet). The executive director, a computer wiz, even came up and fixed her printer after all of us were stumped. Their motto, "it feels like home", rings true every day.

I can't recommend Pacific Gardens highly enough! I think this is an outstanding facility with caring staff and caregivers. I just recommended it to a friend who is checking it out today. I would definitely recommend this facility to others.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a genuine interest in the health and wellbeing of residents. I think the facility is showing its age and needs some updates I would say they just need to do more activities. I go there about 2x a month and most of the time residents in the memory care unit are just sitting watching TV.

I would definitely recommend this place. Staff is extremely friendly and everyone seems to know my dad (staff and residents). They have daily activities and weekly lunch outings. We see my dad every week, so we have gotten to know the staff. Food is good and healthy. Holiday buffets are prepared by a chef, and families are included. Again, this is a great place for the elderly.

Pacifica Gardens is a tad more expensive that we would live, but available, excellent quality of care works for us. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families.

The staff at Pacific Gardens is very friendly and welcoming, and if you pass anyone in the hall ( staff or residents) they smile and say hello. The food is excellent and they offer many alternate choices. My mom loves their soups that are always served with lunch and dinner. She frequently brings a wrapped dessert back to her room to save for my daily visit (must still think I'm a little kid). The Activity Directors have gone out of their way to find out what interests Mom, especially when she told them she was bored by Bingo. The game of Rummikub is more appealing to her. Pacific Gardens had a BBQ and invited the residents' families, I was impressed by its organization. I wondered where we would all sit? No worries- each resident had a reserved table and Mom and I invited a single to join us and share gossip about the place. The food was superb. I love how they decorate for holidays and I already have an idea for Mom's costume for Halloween. I would recommend Pacific Gardens to others!

The staff is extremely friendly and everyone says hi to my dad. The facility is very clean and they try to have lots of entertainment. Pacific Gardens saved us over $[removed]a month, which helped with my dad's finances. I really do love this facility and the staff. I would strongly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a safe and healthy place for their loved ones.

Moving my dad to Pacific Gardens was the best thing I could have ever done for him! The entire staff, administrative and medical, are outstanding and very caring! When my dad presses the button on the pendent he wears, his caregiver/nurse comes to see what he needs. It gives me a lot of comfort and peace of mind to know he is getting this kind of “around the clock” care! The meals offered to residents are OUTSTANDING and unbelievably DELICIOUS!! There is a lot of variety and they are nutritious. If my dad doesn’t want or like what is being served, there is an alternate menu for him to choose something else. My dad is a WWII Veteran who earned a Purple Heart when his plane was shot down. There is a Veterans Wall where veteran residents can have their picture hung on the wall as a tribute to them and to all veterans. If you are looking for a GREAT place to move a loved one to, you won’t regret checking it out. I HIGHLY recommend it!!!

This is a nice community and well run. The staff seem very knowledgeable. They are easy to speak with the staff if there are questions or concerns about my loved one. Card playing, bingo, theater, exercise classes, gym, celebrations, and more are some of the activities offered to the residents. The food has been okay for my loved one. There are some meals that are better than others.

We have been very happy with Pacific Gardens and mom is doing well and receiving great care. I see wonderful activities going on, but she is not able to participate. It is a smaller facility so the care is very personalized. The staff are very thoughtful and considerate. they know all the residents and the family personally. We can go at all hours since we work different schedule and they are very flexible with us. I would absolutely recommend them to others looking. We have also had others we knew who had loved ones here and had great experiences as well.

We chose Pacific Gardens in the beginning because of the affordability, the location, and the atmosphere of the facility. I would want others to know that it does have a beautiful garden that my mom uses every single day when the weather is good, so that has been a plus especially during COVID. Since COVID, the food quality has gone downhill. Another issue is they don't accommodate special diets at all. All of the residents complain that the food is too salty which has been a problem. They did have a massive COVID outbreak and they shut memory care down completely in May and just opened up last week. If you asked my mom, she thinks that the staff is disorganized and do not communicate with each other which has been a huge frustration. Overall, we have not had the best experience here.

Liked PG - [Removed] is great. Loved how they split the people into two groups depending upon their activity level. Drawback for me is distance, and their stacked pricing. Not sure.....

I almost moved here. They seemed to be very nice, the food was good, but you felt confined to the building because there were no grounds to go out and walk around or things like that. But they were very helpful and willing to bend over backwards for you. The staff seemed to interact pretty well with the other residents and my own personal interactions with them were great. Their menu consisted of pretty much the same thing you’d be able to get anywhere else. Everything looked bright and there was lots of light coming in so it didn’t look dark or dingy at all.

I had a tour of this community and found out that they could not take my mom at her level of needs. They were not a good fit.

I had recently taken a tour of this community for myself and possible living arrangements. The property was clean and I could tell they made sure to keep up with the every day chores throughout the building. They had a nice floor plan that was easy to navigate through as well. The staff where professional and pleasant to work with it was just not the right fit in the end decision.

I liked Pacific Gardens and it's an impressive community.I felt it wasn't a good option for my mother because they had many more memory care patients than assisted living patients. It wasn't a good match for her.

A Place for Mom has scored Pacific Gardens 9.4 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
