Northlake House review

Northlake House will give a tour if you just show up. The activity director, [name removed] , is terrific. She has manicure days, bingo, balloon play. She takes them apple picking, to farms with petting, a dance, and even takes small groups to the beach. They had dinners for resident families on holidays. The regular caregivers are interacting with residents all the time. Lots of hugs and encouragement. It is not perfect, but it is very good. Administrators are receptive.... Read more

Come Visit If You Don't Believe Me

Northlake House's staff has been amazing. My loved one feels very happy here. I see my loved one enjoying the activities. Each resident has their own room and bathroom. This allows the resident's to feel independent. This is a beautiful and clean community. The residents are able to roam the hallways and feel comfortable doing as they wish, as long as they are not harming anyone else. My loved one loves it here. I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. Some of the activities the community offers includes: outings, games, arts and crafts, and more for the residents to participate in.

Would have been one of our 1st choices

I was very impressed with this community and it would have been one of my first choices for my mom's care. The staff did a great job showing me around and answering my questions as well. Unfortunately, they were not able to address some of my mom's specialized medical needs.

Some Medication Issues, But Overall A Nice Community

My parents are doing pretty well with their move to this community. It has been rough adjustment process, but I do feel they are in good hands. The only thing I would recommend is that you continue to use the pharmacy you are originally with. We have had some issues with medication management. Other than that issue everything else is fine. The community looks beautiful, and the staff is awesome. I would recommend this community, but just keep our own pharmacy.

Very good care!!

My father is no longer at Northlake, but we had a good experience with them. We were not used to the Alzheimer and dementia unit, and it was a little difficult for my father because at the time, he was fine so he was overwhelmed with other patients behavior. It was nothing against the place or the staff. They were all kind and professional and the people in the front office were great. They all did everything they could to keep my father comfortable. It is a good place, the facility was just excellent. They were taking care of medications and ordered him what he needed.

Care and Comfort for mom

This is a nice community for care. We were happy with the staff and care takers. My mom was happy there and she seemed to like the meals. They offer my mom activities that she did participate. I would recommend this community for the good care and the value to other families.

A Place for Mom has scored Northlake House 8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
