I have a dear friend who is quite sophisticated. She was put here after a hospital stay. She really dislikes this place. Her most vocal complaint is about how poor the food is. Given how important food is to older residents, it is important that the owners invest in a well-qualified chef to provide at least one meal to look forward to each day. My sister at age 86, is in assisted care in New Mexico and what she reports about her care is a world of difference from this place. Owners must care about the residents and staff. This place, New Hope, also has poor staff ratings. This facility has no New Hope for anyone- staff or residents.

We really like the feel of the place and the administrator as well as the nurse [name removed]. We also like the size and cost.

We are very happy with New Hope Gracious Personal Care. The cleanliness is great and her personal hygiene is well taken care of too. The food is tremendous and she has been very happy with that. Her favorite is the ham and cabbage that they had on St. Patrick's day. They have a lot of good activities provided. It is expensive but it is worth is for the quality of care that she is receiving. The staff could not be any better. We have really had no complaints and would highly recommend them to others looking.

A Place for Mom has scored New Hope Senior Community 6 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
