I would say to check out this community for sure. I think that this community is a good place. My communications with the staff are very good. They have activities at this community like bingo, exercises, church on Sunday, rosary and stations of the cross. This is a religious place so if you are not religious you may not be interested but it is a great place. What I liked also was that the fee included everything that they needed to take care of your loved one instead of the extra charges like the other places have.... Read more

About the facility Mt. Assisi Place

Mt. Assisi Place, located in Pittsburgh's North Suburbs, provides quality compassionate personal care for men and women. We pride ourselves in working with our residents, their families and healthcare providers to help make the transition to and experience in personal care as seamless and enriching as possible.

Our facility is situated on 11-acres overlooking beautiful vistas in Pittsburgh’s north suburbs. Our campus was built in 1928 by the School Sisters of St. Francis, who came to the United States from Europe in 1913. Mt. Assisi Place was formerly known as Marian Hall Home, established by the Sisters in 1970. Artifacts from the Sisters’ century-long legacy are displayed throughout our buildings, and several Sisters remain in residence at Mt. Assisi Place.

Our care team is committed to helping our residents remain as independent as possible for as long as possible, while also providing compassionate care and assistance with daily living.

Our residents have robust opportunities for socialization and to participate in a wide variety of activities and events appropriate for each level of independence.

Daily masses, prayer-based activities, and the ongoing presence of the School Sisters of St. Francis offer ample opportunities for our residents to experience spiritual enrichment, if they so choose.
