Room for my dad was always filthy. Caregivers sitting around doing nothing. They lost his false teeth right away and would not bring him food he could eat. All was terrible. Moved him and my Mom out.

Staff is very unresponsive to Family trying to get updates Medical Professionals after outside care - not enough staff for the care of residents. Constant disregard for family requests for updates. In house PT never gave updates after numerous requests. Overall I would Never recommend this facility - after numerous falls by our mother and other personnel giving different accounts of what happened - I wouldn't feel anyone's Loved Ones would be Safe at Mission Creek.

Mission creek was wonderful. Not certain who it is now since director of nurses left. Met all our needs. Would give them 5+ stars.
Our family and loved one had a great experience at Mission Creek. Our loved one enjoys the meals offered. The staff take very good care of our loved one. There are times on the weekends the community doesn't smell the best. Mission Creek has a lot of great activities for the residents, and they are good at getting the residents involved with the activities.

They promised lots and did very little. The rooms and bathrooms were dirty. The memory care side was locked behind doors that made a terrible alarm noise every time they opened which was a lot. Communication was terrible. Pretty much hated the place. Sorry we put our loved one there.

They were understaffed, and it was not a good experience. Some of the staff were pretty nice, and some were not. They had activities but they did not encourage my loved one to participate. They need to improve on effective communication with family members, and providing updates on their loved ones care.

If your loved one just needs a place to live or needs minimal assistance then this community could be great, however the memory care part of the community sucks. We felt that they just wanted to fill a room and did not have our loved ones best intentions in mind, we felt they had lied to us. We would not recommend the memory care side of Mission Creek to anyone.

Overall it was not a very good experience. The staff was friendly and you can tell they have good intentions but lack of training and lack of staff round the clock was frustrating. Also they need more of an activities agenda/calendar. Very disappointing. Also leadership stability was missing. The short time my mom was there management and nursing saw a turn over. The nurse that assessed my mom was gone a week later and unfortunately that caused a lot of disruption in care, services and Mission Creek did not fully communicate the changes.

We really like that Mission Creek is a smaller community - we felt this would allow our loved one to have more one on one personalized quality care. The staff members have all been friendly and helpful and based on our experience so far we would recommend Mission Creek to other families

Staff was ok, but they didn't have enough staff. They didn't seem as friendly and would often be visiting with each other instead of caring for residents. Cleanliness was good enough. The director was so nice. Often times she was trying to cover the staff shortages and not even able to be in her office to get her own things done. I'd see her serving in the dining area or doing other things just to keep things going. It was ok, but not great.
My loved one likes the food. On the other hand, it has been, a very unpleasant experience. The room rarely gets cleaned. Ther has been lack of communication, with mangement on getting and keeping my loved ones room cleaned. Also, they do not have regular activities.

Our families experience was horrible, we do not recommend this community to other families at all. The sales team makes everything look great and perfect but the care givers are nowhere to be found and the food was less then desirable. The response times were always very slow, our loved one sometimes would have to wait up to an hour. It was always a constant worry for our family.
I toured Mission Creek and I loved it! This was one of the few communities we considered moving into. They have a very large open area, with an enclosed garden. They also had a beautiful outdoor area dedicated to the residents and a gorgeous dining room. We ended up choosing another community because Mission Creek didn't have the apartment style room. They only had a single studio style room; it was spacious, but I knew my mom would be more comfortable with a separate bedroom. The community we chose was also closer to friends and family, Mission Creek would've been about 20+ minutes away. Nonetheless, this is a very beautiful facility.
It's a fine facility. And it's medium-sized. They struggle with keeping direct care staff. As a result of that, sometimes wait times are longer than expected. But overall people are friendly. And they do try to make things better. It's just on a week-to-week basis, you never know if they're going to be fully staffed or not. They have had a big change in the last two weeks, adding a lot more care staff. So hopefully that will create improvements. They have plenty of activities. They could clean a little more often in my loved one's room, but it's never terrible. For the most part they take care of things well, including adult diaper smells. And the dining areas, restrooms, and front areas are always clean.

We just moved my father from this community. It was a very horrific experience. There are numerous occasions at this community where there were no staff at this community and that is not good for a memory care unit. There were times where he went without medications and there was no one to distribute the food. They were very unapologetic and did not seem to try to rectify the situation. We knew we had to leave as soon as we could. I know that there are staffing issues everywhere but you can not have that many hours understaffed for people who can not take care of themselves.

I wouldn't recommend this community to your loved one or anyone else. We felt that the community is unsafe and there is not enough staff. There had been times that the call lights for the residents and the staff haven't check on the residents in several hours. I feel it is criminal what they are doing to the residents in the community. We moved my loved one out of the community due to our concerns.

To other families, I would say be prepared for a Covid outbreak. We've had two Covid emergencies in the last month. I don't think there's a great deal of danger, but they go into lockdown for 7 days for each incident. I wish everybody there was vaccinated, but not all are at this time. I know that they have a lot of good safety features that they require: wearing masks, calling in before you visit, and so on. I like the staff there. They're very accommodating. There was a time when we couldn't get ahold of people, and it's clear that they're understaffed. But we've had some very good meetings with them since then, and they're doing the best job possible under the current circumstance. I'm very happy with the level of activities that they offer. We're able to check Mom out to take her out to lunch and things. When I speak with the other residents, I've never heard anyone say anything negative, only positives. The food is a little bland, but I understand why. I've gotten to know the person in charge of healthcare and the person in charge of the whole operation. I think they are good people and very caring. Most of the staff are very caring and like my Mom. For us, it has worked out well. I did some cost comparisons, and they were a little more expensive, but not remarkably so. And I think it's a good value.

This is our #1 pick so far. Inviting friendly atmosphere. Clean. They get to choose/order what they want for breakfast and alternatives available if they don’t want what is being served for lunch and dinner. Smaller room but has a small fridge and no wave, bright with big windows and view of green bushes/trees. Has big bathroom with wall-in shower. Building has lots of outdoor spaces and love the sunroom overlooking g large outdoor area. They bring a snack cart around to rooms 3 x/day and have a lot of activities and entertainment. Feels like a good fit for them but wish the room was a little bigger. We need to give them our decision by Friday.

A Place for Mom has scored Mission Creek 6.6 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
