I would give a 5 for all of the categories hat are listed except for the meals, I would give that closer to a 3.5. For my father, that has varied, at times he has a great appetite and prefers fine dining. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

We picked this community because they surpassed the other places. It was also, the appearance, cleanliness, level of interest and responsiveness to any questions. They could improve on the food, and quality of the menu. I would recommend to other families.

The woman in charge here is awful. These reviews saying that the staff is always happy sound like they are coming right from her. No staff we ever met were happy. Covid has changed things but this place is mismanaged and they sell if to you like it's assisted living. It is not! Once we moved my aunt in she had no help. ALl you get here is an overpriced apartment. When they have food it is awful. My aunt would get sick every time she ate there. Do not waste your money!

Response from Meetinghouse at Riverfront
November 22, 2022I can assure you that I won't be writing reviews for The Meetinghouse. I am sorry that you and your loved one were/are not happy at the Meetinghouse. If you have any issues with the staff, including nursing or the food, you should have contacted the nursing staff or me and expressed your concerns. We never compete with Assisted living, but we offer support services that are non-medical ADLs. My team loves their job and the community, which is why we have such longevity and a low staff turnover.
My mother has been a resident at the Meetinghouse for over 6 years, the only issue we have had in this time is the meals and dining staff. COVID has changed many things in this world and we are very understanding. The support and love my mother and even my family get from the staff and the Director surpasses our expectations by far. The building is warm and inviting, and the residents and staff are always happy. HIGHLY Recommend Meetinghouse

My mother has enjoyed living at the Meetinghouse. The director, [name removed], has done everything possible to keep the residents safe during the Covid pandemic, including coordination of the on site immunization of residents and staff. The respect and care given by the staff has been excellent.

[name removed] and the entire staff at the Meetinghiuse have gone above and beyond. They have been amazing with the care they gave taken to keep residents safe and comfortable prior and during this pandemic. My mom loves her apartment, the other residents, the facility, the well landscaped grounds and water views, the staff and the food. She also loves the on site hair salon and enjoys shopping in the small general store and exploring the many common areas both indoors and outdoors - during warm sunny days. I had checked several other options in NH and the Meetinghouse by far surpassed any others possible homes I had toured. Thank you to the Meetinghouse staff for all you do for our loved ones! Thank you!

The Meetinghouse has been a great transition for our mom these last 2 1/2 years. The facility and care from staff are wonderful. Mom’s health has actually improved since she’s been there. The staff is doing an excellent job working hard to keep residents safe during this challenging pandemic. Thanks Meetinghouse!

My mom loves living at the meeting house. The staff is so friendly caring and the best point I have to make is my mother has became more independent than she has ever been. Her memory has actually improved. This was a hard decision for her to go to a independent facility, however she really is happy. Thanks to the caring Staff .

This is my home and if I’m lucky I can stay here until the end of my life. The director is amazing and treats us like we are family. She does not leave at end of day till she is sure everything is fine. I can take up a lot of her time but she always listens and says it’s no problem. She has kept all of us safe and happy in a trying time. All the staff is amazing. I love it here

We would not recommend this facility. Looking back we see that they offered us just about everything we asked for for care for our mom and it just wasn't available when we moved her in. This is an overpriced apartment with bad food. No transportation (always an excuse) and disgruntled employees. Not good at all.

Sadly we had a very bad experience here. We were promised all kinds of things that were not available. To make a long story short we had to move dad out shortly after moving him in. The director didn't seem to care and barely spoke to us. The staff were always in a bad moods cuz they are overworked. The food was awful. It's just an overpriced apartment bldg. I do not recommend this place.
