We picked this community because, we reside in Amherst so proximity was ideal. Cost was also desirable compared to many.

The facility is definitely an older place but they seem to be working at updating it. They just added more parking spots and all new windows to every unit. They are very hands off. I wish someone would check in with my parents more and give me updates if there are any concerns.

Nice campus, free from traffic noise, nice and helpful bus driver to take you shopping and to appts. I'd recommend it. I picked this community, because it had one floor, EZ access. Moved because of noisy upstairs neighbors.

I would recommend Briston Manor West to others for their loved ones. This is a great place for someone that is still independent, yet still gives family a sense of security and safety for their loved one. The staff communication with the family is great. They are quick to respond to the requests. Carol is a doll to work with. There is limited transpiration available for the residents to utilize for appointments and shopping.

It is a great place to consider, it is inexpensive. Their is no meal plan as this is a Independent living community. The community has dance party, take them to restaurants, and sign up sheets for different activities.

The only thing that did not work out as we hoped is the internet, it is normally included in the rent but because of where his room is located, he has to pay extra for it. Other than that everything else has worked out great. The staff is super friendly and easy to work with. He has had a couple of small things that have come up and the staff have addressed them immediately. I would highly recommend Briston Manor West to others.

We weren't very impressed with Briston Manor West. It was a very old facility, and not modern like we were looking for.
I virtually toured Briston Manor West and it seemed to be a very nice facility. I did not choose it just due to the location
I love Briston Manor West. They've been great. Monday through Friday they have a bus that will take you to CVS, the grocery store, doctor appointments, the pharmacy, the bank. And they even carry in the bags for you. It's a non-smoking place throughout the whole community. They have social events in the dining room. On Mondays the have bingo, Tuesdays they have popsicles, other days they have coffee socials, ice cream socials, wine and cheese tastings, and dessert socials. Even though it's over- 55 apartments, they still have little social events, and they're very good. I'm impressed. My loved one has made so many friends. She's able to sit outside and visit with people. Before, she was stuck in a bedroom in our house, and I love this for her. The people are so nice. If you have any little problem, just go to the manager and she'll fix it. The bus driver is great and helps out where he can as well. My loved one had a minor maintenance issue, and he came in right away to help. There's a restaurant on site, and they use an honor system. You just let them know to add on to your rent any meal you take. I've felt like she's been safe there the whole time during Covid. Her apartment is great. She has a kitchen and a living room, and we were quite impressed by the bathroom. There's a walk-in shower, which is so much easier for her, and a high rise toilet. She has a bedroom with a walk-in closet. There's a pantry, a closet when you come in the door for boots and things, and a linen closet. There's just a lot of space. Heat and water is included. She just has to pay electric and cable. I was so glad she got in here. It's nice, and it's been the best place for her.

It is defiantly a place to look at depending on the amenities and activities you are looking for. The staff is super to work with. They are very responsive, I've not had to wait more than an hour for a return call.

We went with Briston Manor West because we felt that there was a sense of a community because of the way the units are set up, residents do not feel alone. The apartment sizes were good, not too big not too small. My mother in law did say most of the food here was good. Overall, we have had a good experience I would recommend.

My dad really liked the community and apartment we looked at. This was our first tour and would like to find something closer to Boston.

Not welcoming. Very old and tired. No activities aside from going out to lunch. No visible presence of residents besides 3 ladies working in a puzzle. Kitchen was dirty. Only lunch served.

I have no complaints about how things are going for myself and my wife since we made the move into this community. The staff have been very helpful with the move and I am comfortable with the care we have been provided. The food is just fine and I enjoy the activities from time to time with my wife. Overall we are happy and would recommend it to anyone.

We moved an 83 year old widower to Bristol Manor and could not be more pleased. This home gives this gentleman the dignity and freedom to live independently yet in a safe and caring environment. He has adapted quickly and knowing he gets a beautiful and nutritious meals everyday is a gift. I do not think we could have found a better home.

My loved one has really felt very comfortable and right at home since the move into Briston Manor West. The residents are all wonderful and they gave my mom a warm welcoming into the community. The nursing and housekeeping team are both exceptional and I am very satisfied.

My mother really liked this option and is anxious to apply to live here in a 2-bedroom apt. She said, "if you could sell my house, I would move in here right now." It reminded her of her place in Florida, and she just felt comfortable all around.
