I would not recommend it unless they had no other choice. Especially if the resident was mobile and was functioning cognitively.

I was deceived believing that I would have physical and occupational therapy in a gym equal or better than the rehab facility that I was in. I was also told that I would have transportation to and from my doctor appointments in Chapel Hill. Neither were true. Therefore. I had to find outside services and pay [fee removed] one way to my doctor visits. I left because for me I did not see the value for what I was paying. Besides meals were barely decent or nutritional for diabetic. It was an overpriced hotel with assistance. The Executive Director is aware how disappointed I was directly and through her staff. Although she never addressed how my stay was going. There were several staff members that respected and truly cared for the residents. Not many residents were satisfied with the food or accommodations with there needing repairs for several bathrooms. Maybe for the resident population the OT & PT was adequate , however for a higher functioning person they will need to have to get outside therapy. It's hard to say if I would or wouldn't recommend. I know definitely I would not recommend to those needing memory care to become a resident at Meadowview. They do not have the staff to take care of them or the accommodations.

It's a very nice place. Good people working there. They do something a couple times a day for exercise and entertainment. He shares a room with a nice gentleman. He has bathroom shower all the good stuff. He has the option of eating in his room or going to the dining hall. Whatever he feels like. I have already recommended to others.

Meadowview is a good value for us and we feel that the pay is equal to what our loved one is getting for care. The community is clean and always smells nice. The staff are very friendly to my loved one family when we visit. It would be nice to see more caregiver staff to care for the residents. Overall, we are happy with our experience. There are three meals a day served, and the residents does have a choice for meals. Our loved enjoys the meals.

The staff member are all pretty friendly, and they are doing more activities with the residents which is a blessing. However the food is mediocre and the med techs are not doing the best job. The care is just not constant, for example our loved one dentures will go without being cleaned for a few days.

Staff is super supportive of our challenge to move Mom, with information and sharing similar challenges. Site is clean and well-maintained. Hallways are not long, making the walk to meals less of a trek.

A Place for Mom has scored Meadowview 8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
