Faculty/staff are excellent. Everyone learns residents names and tries to get to know them. They really care. I think they are working on the food. Mallard has been bought by Arrow. A new food program is in the works. However, prices have gone up, but I haven't seen food quality increase. For example, hamburgers are still a cheap flat hamburger patty. Veggie servings are sparce. We're still hoping for better things.... Read more

The location is more residential and feels more like home. The apartment is spacious and bright & cheery. Pros include 3meals a day, housekeeping once a week, all inclusive one monthly bill. Negative include bus transportation 5 days a week not 7.

I was disappointed in the condition of the guest room. I am considering their smallest room for myself so I will have a place to live when I'm in Cedar Falls.

A Place for Mom has scored Mallard Point Senior Living 8.8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
