I would absolutely recommend to others. My mom is mostly content there. They deal with her dementia and they are not a memory care place. The staff are mostly caring, committed people. Like everyone else they are understaffed and some of the staff could use more training but they listen to concerns and address them quickly. Response from Liberty Place
April 16, 2024Thank you for trusting us for the care of your dad. It is gratifying to hear that our community is a perfect fit for your dad. I have to mention this: If your visits with your dad can include May 23rd, please join us at our "Mad Hatter Garden Party!"
Liberty Place isn't your "typical" senior living facility. With only 40 residents, it's more intimate. For the most part, staff call each resident by name and are kind in dealing with residents. First, they responded immediately. A Place For Mom had set up an appointment, but they called me to see if I'd like an earlier one. What sets it apart is the "homey" feel of it when we first walked in. The friendly staff, the cleanliness, the kindness. Everyone had time for us. My mother complains about the food most often. Additionally, there are days (after immunotherapy infusions) when she doesn't have the energy to walk to the dining room for meals. And there are staff members who complain about bringing her a tray...if she could trade places with them, she would.

Super friendly and supportive of residents. Pretty low key, not a lot of amenities, but made up for by great staff.

Investigate ALL your options. Not sure what I expected, but reviews for ongoing care were not provided after the initial summary. I thought there would be more interest in care beyond administering drugs. I assume it was because we were not paying enough for anyone to go above and beyond the basic points charged. Beyond medical care, I thought that residents would be treated more as a family. My husband is not by nature an outgoing person. I was hoping the staff had experience with that type of personality. They did check in with him in his room at meal time. If they checked more often, my husband did not remember. Communication was mainly through email and was promptly returned. I was not billed timely in any of the 6 months. Maybe they are used to Insurance blindly paying, but we paid out of pocket. I ADORED the med techs. The food could have used more variety. They had some activities but they went away as new administrators were taking over. Bingo and Trivia were the only ones of any interest to us. Other activities were only advertised by a flyer on the main counter. No person, I ever saw, was getting people excited about doing anything. There were some games and puzzles on tables in the hallways

May 8, 2023Thanks for the review and feedback, Dennis! We appreciate you taking the time to share with us, and we’re so glad to hear our team is fantastic. Thank you again! – Team Enlivant
It's well run by competent and caring senior management and a core group of caregivers with expected turnover of others. Initial training could be better but they are quick in addressing concerns and retraining or adding training as needed. It is important to be present regularly because staff notices. They are very accommodating. Activities are constant but limited but they are very open to suggestions.

So far the staff is very friendly, cooperative, and helpful. I would recommend to visit the community, talk with the staff and the residents about the community that is what we did. My loved one loves the community because it is all one floor and easy to navigate.

It felt more of a community feel, than an impersonal feel . We picked this community because, it ws close to home, it's an older building but clean, and it's well kept.

October 14, 2022Thanks for the 4 stars, Mari! We appreciate it. – Team Enlivant
We toured with Liberty Place and I really liked it. The facility was definitely dated, but the rooms were very large and spacious. It just did not fit what my dad was looking for particularly.

September 27, 2022Thanks for the 4.5 stars! We appreciate it. – Team Enlivant
The primary reason we chose Liberty Place was the fact that they accept Medicaid. They will keep her until she runs out of money then that will kick in so we will never have to move her again. The staff here have gone above and beyond to make sure my mom as well as our family feels comfortable. I would absolutely recommend them to others.

It is a wonderful place to be. The welcomes of the staff is a stand out to me. They need more activities. The grounds are well maintained with lots of flowers. I would like to see the bathrooms are cleaned every day.

I would recommend this community to others. The food is terrible, and the lack of activities for residents are the only complaints my loved one has. The communication with the staff is great, they get back to me anytime I have questions or concerns over my loved one.

This is a very lovely, clean, bright and cheerful community. The apartments were laid out nicely with lots of natural light. [Name removed] was extremely, friendly, helpful and informative. My time was limited and she went out of her way to accommodate me and answer my questions.

Amazing place! Lovely and active. [name removed] is a charm. We talked for an hour about our faith. Unfortunately it is too far and cannot care for all Mom's needs

A Place for Mom has scored Liberty Place 8.8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
