Activities have picked up nicely. The staff is very friendly and always looking out for the residents. We really like the location. It's close to all medical and stores. Mom's apartment is very roomy with a good view of trees and wildlife. She has her own washer/dryer too. I would like them to do a better job of cleaning. I have to vacuum her unit as they don't. Dusting too. They were without an activities director for quite some time but have someone now.

I would say that the staff and residents are friendly and helpful, however, the executive director is very slow to return phone calls and emails. A second attempt is always required and it still takes about 10 days for an answer. The response is very generic, not detailed enough. We picked it because our mother liked the apartment, and she felt comfortable with it.

I would recommend. The residents seem happy, most of the staff are friendly and seem to care about the residents. I pikced this community because of the reasons listed, and also the price.

My parents are in independent living versus assisted living, so they don't receive daily one on one care with the staff, but when extra help is needed, the staff is very good. The meals and dining service was better, but I think COVID affected their staffing. My parents like living at Menomonee Place. They are happy, feel safe, and are very comfortable there. I would recommend Menomonee Place.

Most of the staff are very friendly, but they seem to be understaffed. It's hard to get someone to answer questions directly from the main office. The nurse is sometimes in the building. She's very kind and responsive when there. The dining program is not good. Residents are asked to fill out a menu for the week, but then what they are served is not what they asked for. The food they do get is often cold. The activity director is amazing, and my grandma loves going to all the planned activities.

The cleanliness was really good. The interaction with the staff was good. They need to improve on, encouraging the residents, and getting them more engaged. We picked this community because, it was available, we heard good things about it, and my loved one knew people who were already at the community.

I'm a retired RN seeking senior living options. I visited here and listed my initial considerations and observations: #1 safety-visitors are buzzed in, signed in and met in the foyer by staff. Also, an enclosed courtyard allows residents to go outside, yet still be seen through large windows in the hallway. #2 housekeeping-all areas are clean, uncluttered, spacious, and neatly organized with no offensive odors. #3 atmosphere-I met with the Community Relations Manager and the Life Enrichment Director, I saw other staff working, and encountered several residents in the hallway. All moved about calmly and casually, everyone pleasant and friendly. Respectfully, residents were addressed by name. Finally, #4 kindness-there was a lady standing by her doorway unhappy that her Christmas wreath wouldn't stay lit. The Manager reset the lighting and explained the auto-light switch. She was pleased her wreath was lighted again, and I was pleased to see the genuine kindness he displayed.

The meal was not good for any of them , and I feel they deserved better so that definitely needs to be improved. Most of the staff I was happy with them, but there was confusion about the price and what we wanted. It's a very clean place.

Overall I do not give them a very good rating. We toured and the staff were friendly and we met a really nice lady who was nice and attentive. She left the company and I talked to who she sent me a contact for. They wanted to move forward and it took the facility a long time to get things settled and figured out, they were unorganized. By the time my parents were ready to move in, the rent had gone up [cost removed]. There were a lot of road blocks along the way and we did not have a good feeling about so we decided not to move forward with it.

I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The head nurse is very opinionated and I don't care for her. The administrator is very nice and gets back to the family when anything is brought to their attention. The maintenance team is right on top of any requests given to them.

The food is really bad, and it's very upsetting to my mom. There are not a lot of options. They can't keep staff. They haven't cleaned my mom's room in two weeks due to them not paying an invoice. They have their maintenance guy serving food due to shortages in staff. I feel like they're cutting back on a lot of things because of money issues. And we're probably looking to move my mom. The staff are very friendly, and she has made some friends. But as far as what we're paying for, things that should be included like food and maintenance are just not being adequately provided.

They're having a lot of trouble with staffing right now. I'm not sure if that's a typical thing or just because of the pandemic. But there are concerns because of that. They lost their cook and their cleaning services. The manager says he's trying but is having trouble. He just can't seem to hire anybody. So hopefully that will be changing soon, but we'll just have to see. Some of the staff that are there are great, but some overpromise and underdeliver. My loved one says the food is not great. They seem to throw things together since they don't have a cook, and I wish they would make more of an effort to provide more nutritious things. I'm just hopeful that as we get more people into the workforce that will fix some of the problems.

Started out really good here but at the end we had some issues. We did have some issues with communication. We would reach out and people were not being responsive, but I know it could have been due to Covid. It is really hard to make a judgement because of the virus, but the staff here were friendly and I would recommend them to others looking. The location is really pleasant and comfortable. We did have to sit outside to visit and the setting was very nice.
