The could provide a freight elevator. Increase the strength of the WiFi signal. Provide covered parking. Upgrade the two main entrances. Improve the setup of the free phone service. Sell carts and carriers for large grocery or supplies transported from the first floor to higher floors. Also sell small storage units located in the basement.

Response from King's Reserve Memphis
July 17, 2024Thank you for reviewing us! We're happy to know that you've had a great experience. Please be sure to visit during our events!
King's Reserve is a Senior Independent Apartment. It is NOT a place to provide care or meals. It is strictly a 55+ apartment building. That being said I loved my apartment and my neighbors!! That staff did provide activities such as Bingo Tuesdays and Wine Down Wednesdays and a few other monthly activities. The pricing is very good in the competitive market. Sadly, I took a fall in mid October which required surgery and a move back to my hometown to be nearer to family.

The staff is really friendly. They just recently remodeled the lobby and several of the floors were updated as well. They have several different layouts for apartments and price points. We picked a 1 bedroom corner apartment that is really nice. It's all independent living now. Some of the kitchens are pretty small, but for the price it's worth it.

Response from King's Reserve Memphis
September 13, 2023Amber, I want to thank you for posting your positive review. Our team here at King's Reserve is committed to providing high-quality customer service, and we’re thrilled to hear that we made a good impression on you. We appreciate that you have chosen King's Reserve as your new home!
This was an okay community and it was older. They had elevators in the building; however, my loved one would have to ride the elevators anytime they wanted to take their pets outside.
We toured with The Glenmary at Evergreen. Unfortunately they would not accept my loved one because she had a colostomy bag and they could not handle that care.
We really like The Glenmary at Evergreen, very very much. They are so friendly and it feels like family. The cost is reasonable and I think it's well worth being here. Our apartment is very spacious; the rooms are really big. We have a washer and dryer down the hall, and we have a kitchen in our apartment that comes with everything we need. We also have a balcony, and we're very pleased with it. It's long and we haven't seen another facility that has such a spacious balcony. I would definitely recommend The Glenmary at Evergreen to others.

The Glenmary is a good place for my loved one to live for the social interaction. They are struggling with enough help and providing meals that are appealing to the residents. If the residents have a meal request that have to make in advance to accommodate a different meal; otherwise it is the choice of the day that the chef has prepared. There have been maintenance issues that they are trying to fix, such as hot water and elevator maintenance. However, this has been taking longer than expected to fix for the residents.

Our tour at The Glenmary at Evergreen felt rushed. The residents seemed extremely independent, which wasn't a fit for our mom who needs more assistance. And people were walking around maskless. It was just not the right environment for our mom.
It's a good place and a good deal, with friendly & helpful staff.

We chose The Glenmary at Evergreen mainly because of the value for the money as well as the proximity to where I live so I could be close by. Overall it has been a great experience. We have had some issues with the food, not having coffee available, etc. but I think this is across the board with everyone right now. The weekends are sparse with staff. whenever we report any issues they are taken care of. I would recommend them to others looking.

They recently had another facility close in a different area and this has caused a lot of move ins. Due to this the community is full and it is hard for the staff due to how many people are here. The food can take a while to get and now there is a waiting list for the community.

This community was fine but it was a tower/ high rise and I did not want that for my loved one.
The Glenmary is a 10-story building, and based on our experience so far we could recommend this community to others. We do not have any personal experience with the meals and dining service, but everything our loved one is served food-wise gets completely eaten. Even though our loved one does not participate in the activities they always have a ton going on. on all the elevators there is a schedule showing everything going on and at what times. On super nice days they even go to the zoo. On the 10th floor they have a fitness center and on the 2nd floor they have a fitness center and overall we have been very pleased.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
