This is a very nice place. The residents are very friendly. The activities calendar is very repetitive for the residents. If you can get into independent care it would work better for your loved one, as they can be more mobile. The staff communication was very good with the family. The apartment had a small kitchenette in it.

Our activities calendars are tailored to the residents likes and dislikes so if there is anything your loved one would like to see introduced into our activity lineup, please feel free to reach out to me or to Julia Hopkins, our Arts and Entertainment Wellbeing Director! We recently brought back book club and the outdoor walking club due to popular demand! Keep the feedback coming.
The place is great, the community is very clean and the staff members have continued to be so helpful and friendly. There are activities during all different times of the day, they are keeping our loved one constantly active and engaged. There are exercise glasses and mind games. She is really enjoying the meals and dining service, she gets three meals a day and if there is something they made that she does not like they will make her something else so they have been really accommodating. For everything she is getting, which is a lot, we think the value for cost is great.

The beauty of a community our size is that our chef and his staff can truly get to know our residents' wants and needs, and respond just as you mention above. We just introduced our Springtime menu rotation in April, and residents have been trying all sorts of new salads and lighter fare for Spring into summer! Care to join your resident for a meal? Just let us know a day or so in advance and we'll be happy to accommodate you!
The care staff are lovely and the facility is very clean. It is small and my mother likes it. However, beware of potential "bait-and-switch" with regard to pricing and other. My Mother is functioning on a fully independent level. Very disappointed with management/ownership. They have failed to honor the contract.

Please bear in mind that different base rates apply for independent/ residential living, assisted living and memory care. Additionally care charges can vary as a resident moves through the care continuum. If I can provide any additional assistance, do not hesitate to reach out.
We chose this facility based on its small size, lovely environment and convenient location to other family in the area.

May 6, 2024Thank you for your feedback! We are small enough to feel like a family home, tucked back here in Arden. However; we offer easy access to all major highways and sit minutes from the PA, and NJ borders.
This seemed like a nice community when we took our tour. The people we met were nice. This community is smaller and did not seem to offer a lot of room to move around. They offer less activities and staff than the community we chose.

It's important to note that staffing is based upon the number of residents and Ivy Gables staffing ratios are well ahead of the national average. it is true that you will see fewer staff members in a smaller facility, but the resident to caregiver ratio is what is important. Here at Ivy Gables, our activities are based not only on what we offer residents but also what residents have told us they like to do! We encourage suggestions and feedback from our residents in an ongoing manner, and not just during our Resident Council or Town Hall meetings. We encourage questions during our tours and welcome you to visit with our Activities Director if you should need our services in the future. Thanks again!
We're very happy with how things are going at Ivy Gables! It's a clean, well kept place, and the staff is caring, courteous, and very friendly. My loved one really seems to be enjoying herself here. They even do a good job with the food! We're very satisfied with the service they provide.
