I would and have recommended the facility to others and they have concurrently moved in. It took my Mom about 9 months to adjust to this lifestyle arrangement, and now she absolutely loves being at the facility. It has improved her mentality, her socialization and her physically. The housekeeping is lacking. The quality of the food is terrible! They have a lot of diabetic residents living at the facility, but yet do not offer any type of options for them. Would not recommend. The food was not very good. Did not get enough. Could not get seconds. They tried to feed you as cheap as possible.

Monarch had no staff with knowledge of accepting tenants. There was no Chef, and the refrigerator was not working.

Monarch works to care for the folks who live there. Though not everything is perfect, the staff tries to meet all needs as they arise. They treat folks with fairness and respect.

This community is definitely for independent living, there are no nursing services at all unless you pay extra. This community is definitely for those who want to stay active and can get up and do fun things. It is a really nice community its been wonderful and we would recommend to others.

My loved one is having a wonderful experience. They serve a lot of sandwiches and he has a hard time eating them. Also, on the weekends they serve a lot of boxed lunches. Very welcoming, caring and understanding. Medication personnel is very communicative. Excellent job of locating him to take his medication. My loved one even moved apartments ( moved to larger apartment) and they were so very helpful. Only improvement could be w the food, but honestly, they are doing the best they can due to short staffing situation

The place has been bought out a few times and right now just like everyone else they are understaffed so a lot of what we are paying for is not happening. They are supposed to have a meal menu but it seems like the chef is just throwing some things together and the kitchen staff is always out. The do have a few activities but it could be better. We do really like the community there just needs to be improvement

When we first arrive there, everything was so great. All of our questions were answered promptly. The staff made sure we settled in correctly and comfortably. They have been very attentive to our loved one. Overall our experience has been nothing but satisfying and we would absolutely recommend the Monarch Estates to other families.

Not great cleaning services. In general, I would recommend it again. My loved one really enjoyed the meals. They offered a variety of activities.

They've had a lot of changes in management since we've been there, but hopefully that will get settled down soon. For the most part, my loved ones like the food. They've had some minor issues with delivery, but it's gotten a lot better recently. I'm satisfied with having my loved ones here. The location is good, and small pets are allowed.

Not organized. Food is high starch high carb cheap. They save money on electricity and keep the place dark and gloomy. Needs music and activities but they claim it’d COVID-19. However at least use real eggs not powdered eggs.

They have had a great Covid plan and focus on keeping the residents safe and I am very happy with how they have handled it. They have a menu and currently, the dining room is open at a third capacity. The activities director is very good but they are trying to do activities, and they have a bus for transportation. I would recommend this community to others.

The food is not very good and it's expensive to live here. The management and staff are all very nice. The rooms are kind of small, it a one-bedroom with a bathroom. I would recommend the facility if it's right for you.

We chose Monarch Estates because of the affordability and the age in play that they offer. We moved them in during COVID, so they have been on constant lock downs. A lot of the residents are complaining about the food or say it is hit or miss, they do not have a lot of variety on their menu. The portion sizes are also an issue that I have seen. They also do not put the persons name on the tray, so some people aren't getting the correct foods that they order off of the menu. We have also had issues with the payments, they do not send out monthly invoices, so there are all these extra charges that we are not aware of then we get late fees after we pay monthly rent. Overall, we are not unhappy with the facility, but we have only had experience with this facility during COVID which could be what is causing some of these issues. Things do seem to be getting better with the change of management.

A really great place for seniors to enjoy community living and interact with other seniors. Friendly, dedicated staff and it is always clean. The food is also another nice touch.

We chose this community because the price was good for what you are getting and it is a good location not far from her children. It is also easy access from the intestate. The room sizes are fine. Since COVID, the food has not been good. It is not enough food and it is repetitive, they get the same things everyday. It has no taste and there are not enough condiments to make the food even edible. my favorite part about this community has been the hospitality manager. She makes sure everyone gets to know everyone in the facility and interacts well. I would recommend Monarch Estates.

A Place for Mom has scored Holiday Monarch Estates 8.4 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
