Staff were all company people. They need to care more about the residents. I do not recommend Maple Suites!

Well our first bill did not show all the promised credits. Got that straightened and then they charged us a late fee. Overall though the food is good and the people are helpful. The place is clean.

No accommodations for special dietary needs; rigid meal times--8; 12; 5. Be there or don't eat. Sales person was not truthful about availability. We are very disappointed and would not recommend. I have celiac disease and we have had to create a kitchen out of a kitchenette.

July 10, 2024Thanks for reaching out. Your feedback is important to us. This gem of a place is a wonderful place to live if you’re not certain which retirement community you should choose. The people living within the community are very warm & welcoming! The food served in the dining room is great! And they always have snacks on hand if you get a craving for one in the middle of the night! There’s lots of different types of activities & art projects to do! Games like bingo & puzzles seem to always be happening! Great entertainment comes in periodically. The crew helping us out is very helpful & caring!

When referring to friendliness I am referring to the staff. Some were great but the management staff were aloof and disingenuous. They act like the residents are I their way and they tend to infantilize them. That may be related to how inappropriately they screen the new folks coming. They are not always appropriate for independent living. That puts stress on the staff and takes away from the experience of other residents. (I don't mean that to sound too harsh but there were many folks for whom people were worried about). Services that were supposed to be provided like light housekeeping in resident apartments did not happen. I was there from July to March and got housekeeping services less than 10 times. Supposed to be weekly. Food was consistently a 2. Very poor preparation and lack of concern for special diets with older folks in mind. I just decided to get my own meals for the last 4 months I was there. That's a common practice among the residents. Activities are usually pretty good. Excellent staff member does them. She's genuine and creative and listens to residents. I did make some nice friends there and I keep in touch with them. It wasn't all bad

June 25, 2024Elaine, thank you for sharing your feedback. If you would like to discuss your concerns further, feel free to email me at CustomerService@AtriaSeniorLiving.com.
It was not wanted for myself yet. I'm still very independent, didn't like being on such a schedule w/everything planned out ( if one wanted to take advantage. Great place for some folks and some wonderful families. I wasn't looking for three meals a day and I still drive so didn't really need such services at this time. I made some good friends and every person there has a story to tell. I have bought a manufactured home in Dover. I have family near by and this is working out good for me. Thank you for checking in. I was told by office staff that when and if I am ever ready; I am welcome back. The best thing for me there is that they have physical therapy in house and that helped me tremendously. I was able to take advantage of that, got a lot of walking in and took advantage of exercise classes.

It was nice. Location set back away from main streets, but also easy to get to. Recent renovations were lovely. Grounds were carefully manicured and attractive. Offered a variety of room layouts. Many with balconies or patios. They allow residents to have cars. (Which was a determining factor for my father) there were separate areas to meet or gather in . Had small exercise room , hair salon, free laundry facilities on each level, honored Veterans. The other thing my father mildly complained about was the set mealtimes and uninteresting menu options.

My loved one is currently a resident at Holiday Maple Suites. He was unhappy with his previous facility and decided to move here. My loved one is much happier here at this facility. He has his own small apartment and comes and goes as he pleases.

First of all when I moved here, they promised me a couple things which they have never fulfilled They don't have enough staff here for cleaning. Sometimes you go months without getting a room cleaned. The food in the cafeteria is not fit for anybody. It's for a diabetic, or not that good. They promise you a lot, before they get here but they never fulfill it, very poor management.

My father was looking for an Independent Living facility having recently moved from a small sr. community to an asst. living facility. The Asst. Living arrangement was for his wife. After three months he decided that as nice as the facility was, it was just too expensive and he did not want to spend all his savings on it. He wanted an Independent Living Place and the family would find appropriate supportive care services for his wife. I worked through A PLACE FOR MOM. My contact there mentioned this one. After some urging,My father decided to go with me to visit Maple Suites in Dover, NH. We had a delightful visit and tour. And to the amazement of the Marketing Manager and myself, "he said he liked it and decided he wanted to move in"! The special multi-month Savings was also an added incentive. His monthly rent was also going to be 60% less than the Assisted Living Facility. He was able to move in the following week! They have been there 2 months and says he is very happy.

A Place for Mom has scored Holiday Maple Suites 8.8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
