Holiday Chateau Ridgeland

Since I moved in here in [date removed], we have undergone a major style renovation, or "refresh" (as corporate refers to it). I suggest you visit or request that photos be sent to you. We should be completely finished in about two weeks. As this is independent living, medical care is not provided. However, if needed, additional care is available through private hire. Needed updating of the building itself was done during the "refresh". A new activity director has just been hired and starts this week!

I have lived at Chateau Ridgeland for about 4 years. What I used to love and what made it feel like home was the staff, who made me feel like family, and my neighbors and friends. It doesn’t feel like home anymore. The “management team” they have now, consists of a female manager and older male assistant manager. They have completely ruined this place. Even though the building just got “renovated”, (I use that word lightly), the building is worse, most of my friends have gotten fed up and moved, and the staff that was beloved by all of us residents and our families has been fired. We haven’t had an activity director for about 6 months, after ours was let go for no good reason, she was great at her job and kept us all busy and active. We can’t keep a housekeeper or server, we don’t have a sales person or office manager. The management is going to be the death of this place. I wish the owners of our community would open their eyes and listen to us residents.

Holiday Chateau Ridgeland provides a very well managed and caring environment - and an excellent value for independent living. Overall it's a great place to live.

I haven't had the same experience as most yet. I actually rented my apartment and haven't fully moved in yet. I am in and out a few times a week. I go and eat and check my mail. I have a two bedroom one bath. Only a few boxes have been moved. This has given me time to meet the residents and staff. I really like all the staff and the residents. A few days ago, I sold my home. I will miss it. Especially, the kitchen and the cabinet space. The kitchen here has only a refrigerator, tiny sink, and small cabinets. No dishwasher. Speaking of cabinets, other than small spaces, there are none. I have a small closet in each bedroom. I have a nice balcony and a fireplace. I am paying for an off site non-temp controlled storage unit. There is wi-fi on the first floor but none on third floor. I say all of this to future residents to make a list of things to look for when making a decision.

What sticks out most about Holiday Chateau Ridge is the staff. Everyone, including on site 3rd parties, genuinely care about their residents.

This is a safe environment and the amenities including meals and activities are very good value for the money. The staff are very responsive during the time they are available for questions or concerns the family has about our loved one. They have menus for the residents to order from and they meals are served at a specific time. The community is able to provide medication management, hygiene, dressing assistance and more for the residents if needed. The apartment, housekeeping, all the meals, transportation to shopping and doctor visits, maintenance and utilities are included in the monthly rate.

The food is good and it would be nice to have more of an assortment of menus in the evening for the residents. The staff have been good to work with. This is a great place to have your loved ones live at.

The staff were all extremely kind and helpful. We thought it was a very nice place and were disappointed when our loved one did not want to move.

This community is a good place to be. They take care of my loved one and other residents. The room is great! They take care of everything for the residents.

I have lived here for 6 years and have been very pleased, especially during the Coronavirus when all of the employees went out of their way to take care of us. Thank you all!!!

I have lived here at Chateau Ridgeland for 3 years. I'm very comfortable in my studio apartment. We have a new chef and the food is much better. The staff that serves our meals and clean our apartments are very good. The location of the community is very good as well.

Chateau Ridgeland has been my home for 7 years. I love the friends I've made, great food and not having to cook. The staff is very friendly and helps us whenever we need them.

The staff & residents here at Chateau Ridgeland are great and you can't help but to love this place. I moved here a year ago. I wouldn't live any other place but my home.

Meals are not prepared from scratch, most of the food is bought frozen and reheated. Also I don't think you need a chef for peanut butter and jelly. It's also a great place to live if you like the smell of dirty diapers. There are more people here that require full time care than are independent. If I could afford to move I would because this is not what they advertise.

When we toured this community I didn't notice anything that stood out to me it was just on the average side. The staff seemed to be nice and friendly very informative. However, I did notice that they could work on making it a little cleaner. The community wasn't dirty but there was room for improvements or updating or replacing things that were dated

The staff have been trying to be helpful and they are nice. There is an agency on site that is there if you need additional assistance. This service, however is not able to provide all of the care my friend needs. The cost went up and there was no additional services offered. They do bring the meals to his room. He feels they have not followed through on the promises they made to him in the beginning.
